Norton Antivirus 2009 CD 3 User Ret Review
User Submitted Norton Antivirus 2009 CD 3 User Ret Reviews
Date: 2008-11-20 Problems with Norton 2009 I, too, upgraded to 2009 and now my computer constantly locks up. I have disabled Norton permanently until I can (hopefully) get back to Norton 2008. Very disappointed.
Date: 2008-11-11 need a zero star option I also took advantage of the offer to upgrade my NAV2008 with a few months left in my license. That was several days ago and I'm still fighting. It won't run and won't uninstall. It loads a few processes and hangs - for at least 8 hours (then I killed the processes). Even when it's as turned off as I can get it it won't let me access the pop server I use for email. I'm not an IT professional, but I have been using these things since the dual 360k floppy - pre hard disk - days and been my own IT resource. I've never been this stumped - or irritated. (I have a recent dual-processor Dell with lots of RAM and disk space).
Date: 2008-11-09 Good Value This edition is Basic solid protection at a good price. Excellent for a more than one computer in the same house.
Date: 2008-11-09 Norton AV Good as Usual This is one of the most economical ways to buy this product if your house has more than 1 computer.
Date: 2008-11-03 Finally fixed their problems Symantec finally fixed the problem of their software hogging the computer. I had given up on them. Formerly it seemed they forgot that their software was not the center of the universe and performance really mattered to the end user. A brutal sales decline got their attention, and the software is now a good citizen, you hardly know it is there, just as it should be.
