Game works fine for me and I love it!
I love the game and it works great on all 3 of the computers in my house! I met the minimum requirements though (didn't base my purchase on whether the older Phantom games played, based it on the system requirements for these new games). I also purchased Millionaire's Club and it works perfectly as well. These games look beautiful!
The online portion of the game is in a beta, but I got on fine and can play slots, too. From what I've read on the boards, most people having issues don't have video cards that can handle the game. So just check the minimum requirements before you buy and you will not be disappointed!

Don't Bother
I can't believe Phantom would release such rushed-to-market low quality. I expect more from them. I love their older games, but this new game won't even work. I've tried everything they recommended and still nothing. Now they won't even take the game back. It shouldn't be this hard! All I want to do is sit at my computer and enjoy a couple hours of slots fun. I don't want to go online or do a bunch of things to my computer in the hopes that maybe...only maybe...will it then work (oh, and by the way, it still doesn't work).
I highly recommend the new IGT Little Green Men by Masque. Much easier to install (1 CD that you don't even have to keep in the tray!), no problems and it plays great. Plus they have the real machines that I love playing in the casinos! Now this is what I was looking for. Phorget Phantom.

Don't waste your money on Blackbeard
I own Ghost Town, Mystic Forest and several of the downloaded slot machine games; all work beautifully on my computer. I ran the initial tests on my computer which showed the games would run on my computer. I've had Blackbeard's Revenge since 9/4 and have installed/reinstalled it 3 times in an attempt to get it work properly. This is a time consuming effort since the first patch takes download time of 2-5 hrs. depending on your internet connection. (Not recommended for anyone with dialup.) Initially I couldn't play the games offline; my mouse pointer froze. After several patches and "fixes" I can play offline but some of the graphics are distorted and some of the reels spin so slowly that it's no fun to play. Forget the online play, just doesn't work for me. One of the "fixes" suggested by EFX Support for the online play was to disable your firewall/antivirus; this isn't acceptable to me and many others. Trying to get support on the message board can be very frustrating; there are hundreds of messages to read through to try and find a fix for your problem. When I buy a boxed game, I expect it to work reasonably well with perhaps a small patch or two. Phantom EFX was in too much of a rush to put a product on the market without complete testing to make sure it would work offline with a majority of computers. I believe they are interested in their online games which will eventually cost a fee to play. Many of the problems seem to occur with Intel chipsets which is what I have. So far, no fix. Many people have spent $$$$ trying to upgrade their graphics cards and even buying new computers so they could play the games only to find out they can't play offline or online. This is a very frustrating experience for me and hundreds of others. I don't recommend purchasing any of the 3 new EFX games; save your money.

Awful Game!
I have purchased all of this company's previous releases and was excited to get this one, but the game is just a nightmare of useless software. The game will not run and I have a brand new computer that met the specs listed on the box. I have tried to get help on their message board and customer service but they were not friendly and kind of rude. Nothing I did could get the game to run and now my computer is fried thanks to doing all their recommended fixes to get the game to run. (which never helped and weren't fixes!) Stay away from this garbage. I found out also that they released it knowing it didn't work and are using the buyers who paid money to get a working game as beta testers even though the buyers like myself paid for the game. Useless garbage. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money unless you happen to need a shiny new set of coasters.

Cannot recomend, wish I could!!!!!!!
Tried on three computers, worked on one with some issues. OK if you buy this program there is a chance it will not work on your computer; We loaded it up on a two year old Acer lap top, and it works pretty well on there, with one issue, that a couple of the games are slow (not bad though the games are very graphic heavy), otherwise its a beautiful set of games that are very fun and like casino games. The graphics are impeccable and the sound is right on. The games are fun and very reminiscent of the games in casinos, such as the game Popcorn is like the 50 and 100 line games now is casinos, except its 40 lines (and you can get 40 jackpots at ones it also has bonus spins with a game within the game in the spins. The bonus games are all very good, there are 27 games with bonuses and some have more than one bonus, one game that is based off of reality TV (kin dof a knock off of Fear Factor, American idol, The trump show, Suvivior,etc) has five different spin games with different ways to get wilds. The lobby is a beautiful seen on a pirate ship. Also with EFX games you get to finish requirements to add more games, usually 3-4 more, I have not gotten that far yet. There are some very cool games hear, one with wizards and elements that has progressives you can hit; an Egyptian game, with a nice bonus game that is very good graphically speaking. A Baseball game, Bugs, Lucky break with balloons, a couple pirate and nautical games, And there's some poker and regular type slots as well. If you have a computer this software will work on, you will have a lot of fun. but I cannot because there is a 50% chance it won't work on your computer. It did not work on our compuetrs, that were over two years old, despite the fact both, met the specs. They have got to work the bugs out.
