Not ready for Vista
I bought KIS 2009 due to some of the reviews stating that it doesn't slow your system down as much as other security suites. That is very true, when it is running.
Since installing KIS 2009 I've been getting 2 to 5 "Blue Screens of Death" BSOD's a day. I've opened tickets with support, gone to Kasperski's forum and so far no luck and definitely no solution.

You can do searches and find out that this is not an isolatedissue with me.

If you are not a geek with a LOT of time on your hands I'd reccomend going with someone else until Kaspersky gets this issue resolved. I think they will get it fixed and then they will have good product. But right now it isn't ready for primetime.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 - Very Easy to Use
Probably the most expensive of all - but also has the highest of ratings.

This is my second year using Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) and I am more satisfied than last year. This version seems to create fewer confusing situations and also appears to be stealth in operation.

I have to admit, however, there is a lot to this program that I know little about - but try and learn as I use it.

There wasn't a User Manual with the shipped product, but there is an easily downloadable version that you can obtain from Kaspersky.com. I am one that would have prefered a hardcopy at installation - but loading and launching was a breeze!

From my past experiences with this product it can be difficult getting through to Kaspersky's Tech department if you require immediate help. You may have to wait a few days for any acknowledgement. But when received, it is usually very specific and to the point. I have had a few opportunities to discuss a loading procedure with a live Tech and was very pleased with their level of competence and understanding of my situation.

So far so good
Loaded security software on two PCs, one with Vista and one with XP Pro. Loading was easy. With one month of use it seems like a easy security program to use and does not slow down the systems.

Beware, Activation Key was invalid
I have not have a functioning internet security because the key provided with the product does not work. There is no phone number on the website, so I'm not pleased with the product and service surrounding the product.

Vista64? I think not.
Simply put, this program managed to phenomenally ruin my system. After I installed and rebooted per the installation wizard's procession, when Vista had loaded and I opened my account, I found I no longer had Internet connectivity--that is, I was able to connect to my local home network, but was unable to access the web through it. Not only that, but several of my most used and trusted programs ceased to function entirely, like Winamp and my Logitech mouse button assignment program. The system even crashed once, absolutely randomly while I was trying to negotiate the complete lock down Kaspersky had invoked on my machine. I was repeatedly bombarded with notices that I must without delay activate my new Kaspersky product on line with the product key, but if the same program has now blocked all access to the Internet, well, now what? Even un-installing this curse on my hard drive wasn't enough to undo the damage it had caused. I had to completely roll back my system using Windows' backup and restoration feature to before I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. Winamp had to be un-installed and reinstalled before it would work again, erasing my music library and Internet radio bookmarks. All my presets on my mouse had been reset. What I believe is the issue here is that my computer has the latest and most up-to-date version of the Windows Vista 64-bit operating system, and that compatibility is not yet established for this system. My advice to Vista64 users is this: wait before purchasing this product until compatibility has been solidly established.
