Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 Review (continued)
More User Submitted Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 Reviews
Date: 2008-11-29 smooth running I have never used Kapersky security. I always used Norton and McAfee to protect my computer. I noticed immediatly the dfference with Kapersky. It does not tie up resources. My computer is protected and runs so much better. I highly recommend this product.
Date: 2008-11-25 Long-time KIS user in Atlanta KIS 2009 has ruined their user interface vs what they had in their previous versions. It doesn't have the detail that was available in those versions. Also, its scan rate is slower.
If you have an earlier version, use the new KIS activation code and it will serve to renew your old license. If you prefer a less detailed, more "Windows-like" interface, then go ahead and install the new version.
Either version does the intended job very well and I highly recommend it as an Internet Security suite.
Date: 2008-11-23 Best Internet Security I've Found This product was recommended to me when I purchased my laptop at a big box store. I did not buy it there but searched for the best price. I found the best price on Amazon.
Since installing Kaspersky, I have barely noticed it. That is a nice change after having both Norton and McAfee in the past. It always seemed like they were popping up with annoying updates. Best of all, it doesn't cram up my CPU so I can actually have quite a few other programs open with out my computer slowing. I would highly recommend Kaspersky to others.
Date: 2008-11-22 Easy to use The virus scan is very fast and the updates are automatic. I could work on my laptop as usual when the virus scan is running and it does not slow down the system. No problems observed so far.
Date: 2008-11-20 Installation fails on 64-bit Vista The product fails to install on Vista Business 64-bit (with 8 GB memory installed). The DEP (data execution prevention) trap handler aborted the installation.
I guess I'll need to find another anti-virus solution.
1 star. And even that's a stretch.
