Date: 2010-09-07 Great game even if the career mode is average This game blows any other racing game out of the water. No game can match the damage, sensation of speed, and fun online play.
PROS -Cool cars to choose from (even the new Camero/Challenger and F1 cars) -Great if you like a challenge -Great set of tracks -Online gives this game 5 stars -Damage is forgiving enough so u dont have to worry about destroying your car when you have a simple accident -Damage can be done to the steering, suspension, transmission, and engine which is cool -Boise State is winning the football game vs Virginia Tech right now haha
CONS -Career mode actually sucks, you just rake in cash and thats about it (spotter is annoying) -People that want super realistic crashes/damage will be mad -If you play online with collisions fully on you might be angered at the people that go around the track backwards (just put collisions on forward) -Internet makes or breaks this game for me honestly -No 2 player or multiplayer for friends to play -Flashbacks (rewind if you crash) will either be loved or hated depending on who you are
This game would be improved by adding more cars, more tracks, and a non-internet multiplayer mode. It isnt perfect but with the best competition being Gran Turismo 5 (which still isnt out) id buy this game every time i got the chance.
Date: 2010-08-31 Another poor game that needs $3,000 worth of accessories to play it Another arcade game that does not play well with a keyboard or a game controller. It needs a steering wheel and pedals to work well and of course if you are going to get those, you might as well buy the cage and seat, so you can be comfortable... . Why not just buy a car and put it in the livingroom and hook the game up to it. OH wait, that's the 2012 version of a Codemasters Game!! . Seriously, what happened to buying a game for [...] bucks and being able to use it with just a keyboard or game controller? GREED, that's what......... . Really it's just another arcade game that does not play very well. If you have tried DIRT, then this is the same game only on the street. Same game engine as before and that wasn't very controllable or realistic with a game controller.
Date: 2010-08-11 Fun Fa Sho This game is very fun, even though I already re-sold it. I played it constantly for months, you can probably see why it got played out. Definitely Bang for your Buck
Date: 2010-08-08 Great Game , Very Challenging This game is by far the most challenging racing game i have ever played. I have the logitech steering wheel and pedals for the 360 which adds to the intensity of the game. One mistake and your out. Kind of frustrating , but it makes the win really worth it at the end. Drifting is king with the steering wheel. Very hard , but very realistic. This game is great if you love a challenge
Date: 2010-08-03 The best arcade racer out there. If you want an arcade racing game with just a hint of realism, this is the best one I have ever played. The A.I. makes the racing close and challenging and fun. The graphics are nearly the best ever done in a racing game. The style and finesse required to control your car takes a few minutes of racing to get adapted to, but once you get the hang of it it feels pretty good. For about the first half hour that I played this game I hated the quirky imprecise unrealistic control. However, after giving the game a few more tries I started to get a feel for the way the cars control, and stopped expecting them to control like a real car would. This game, ironically, controls better with a joypad than a steering wheel. It's not over the top unrealistic "Burn out" kind of car physics and arcadishness, but it straddles the line between arcade and sim racing better than anything I have played over the years. If you are looking for purely arcade racing with lots of explosions and wrecking and such, this may not quitr be your cup of tea, but check out "Split second"{ Split / Second), cool arcade racing game.
