Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Review (continued)

Date: 2008-12-15 This game is extremely fun Like the title it is very fun but it gets boring once you played the Missions more than 20 times. I dont have xbox live though :(
Date: 2008-12-11 Good but has some drawbacks and frustrations This is an excellent first person shooter, with great graphics, story line, game play and online multipayer. However, there are a few things about it that made me a little mad. First of all, I bought two copies of this game, so I could play multiplayer on my 2 PC's. Then, I install the game and patches, etc and find out that you cannot run two copies of this game, even with two CD keys, on the same modem. That is so bogus!! I spent a hundred bucks to play two player and I cannot do it, and why? I don't know but their reasoning is flawed. Anyone who buys two copies of their game should be able to play two player. Period.
Second, during the multiplayer, it's really annoying to get killed again and again by air power. The airstrikes and heli's are much too easy to get and bombs are raining everywhere. There is no option, when you host a server, to turn these annoyances off. Plus, there are many many cheap ways to kill people, including claymores, stun grenades, grenade launchers and it seems like it's always raining grenades. Don't get me wrong, it is possible to get "in the zone," and pwn people with say, a 25 kill streak, but it's very difficult with all the cheap ways to kill you on the game. Overall, an addictive game with lots of replay value (if you play online). The one player is fun and I wish the spectre gunship had more than one brief mission. Very cool!
Date: 2008-11-26 Terrible Performance Unless You Maxed Out Hardware Watch out if you do not have a maxed out hardware setup. I have a dual-core system with 3GB RAM, 256MB video memory - less than a year old - and the poor FPS and lag in controls makes this game unplayable.
Date: 2008-11-25 Realistic gaming, and good graphics The graphics are scary they are so good. As far as the solo campaign goes, its really good and has a good plot, some of the movie scenes are really cool. One of the levels your helicopter was in the area of a nuke and you crawl out of the crashed helicopter to look around and see everything leveled. You have like a minute to look around and go wherever you want until you eventually die, really touching...... And the multiplayer is amazing as you have probably already heard. When you kill people on multiplayer, you get XP points that bring you up ranks. 55 in total and you unlock guns to use as you continue through. Every time you go to level 55, you can prestige, and do it all over again. You can do that 10 times. Overall awesome, get it
Date: 2008-11-21 The best COD hands down Online gameplay is relentless like it's players, which only drives me to keep playing and improve the skills;) I was never a fan the older COD games until my friend invited me to try this out one day.. I didn't like it at first due to my hands being accustomed to the Halo 3 buttons layout. Once I got used to the controls I was hooked!! The storyline isn't that bad at all either. I had a little trouble completing certain levels of the game on Veteran and I have yet to complete the "Mile High Club" acheivement :( This game has been out for a while but many people still play it. I recommend it to those Halo, Battlefield, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six or any FPS fans :D
Note: I don't have COD5 yet so I can't compare it to that....yet.
