Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 Upgrade Review (continued)

Date: 2008-09-15 I'm loving the upgrade I am someone who wasn't all that hyped about Vista. I'd heard the horror stories. I've dabbled with Linux, I've used about every distribution out there. I've complained about Microsoft in the past. But I will say I am thrilled with how well Vista runs, how well Office 2007 is, and how all of the Live offerings tied with Vista help me to be productive and get done what needs to be done.
Date: 2008-09-13 Horrible I have just wasted three hours finding a network connection that is immediate under XP. I can't believe that anyone would have this OS if he has any choice.
Date: 2008-09-08 Just terrible! This is the only time I've bothered to write a review of any product here on Amazon, but even a usually rather apathetic person like myself has a breaking point and Vista has reached it. This program is just garbage. I know legions have been screaming for years that Microsoft produces nothing but junk, but Vista has finally made a firm believer out of me. There are too many annoying problems with Vista to get into and several earlier reviews cover that stuff better than I could. Please save yourself the months of frustration that I've had to endure. Stick with XP if you must, go with another company's OS if you can, but avoid Vista at all costs. It's that bad folks.
Date: 2008-09-03 Upgrade Despite what the label suggests, this is not an SP1 upgrade. It is an upgrade of Vista which happens to include SP1. This is not a low-cost version of Vista. You have to buy the full package AND the upgrade....
Date: 2008-08-31 Downgrade from Win Vista 64 to 32 bit I ordered a PC with Win Vista 64 bit as recommended by the manufacturer of the PC. I found that nothing seemed to work that was attached to my old computer because of driver problems. I purchase the full Win Vista 32 bit, ran the startup off the DVD and it saved off the old install and I had Win Vista 32 bit. Now all my apps and plugs-ins are working! I'm not giving Win Vista a full 5 stars because I don't like that fact that Microsoft tries to hide things from the user, like what the link is you are going to press on the browser page, amoung other things. Some of these you can revert to the "classic" if desired.
