Date: 2008-10-29 Norton 360 Order fm In And Out Computers Following is what I sent to In And Out Auctions: "I received my Norton 360 Ver. 2.0 order on 9-29-08 & was very pleased with the prompt delivery. Kudos in that area. However, the Norton box was crushed which indicates that packing was done poorly! The contents were not affected. I WAS EXTREMELY UPSET when I installed the program and found out that only 284 days were left on the program NOT the full 365 days. If In And Out Auctions knew this, you did not give me, the customer, full disclosure. I feel you should replace this Norton 360 Ver. 2.0 CD with a full 365 days on it! I wanted to let you know before I rendered my comments to Amazon." Conclusion: In And Out Auctions resolved the problem by offering me a 25% credit which I accepted and considered fair. Case closed. I would do business with In And Out Auctions again based upon their immediate response and resolution to the problem.
Date: 2008-10-27 Trainwreck! Norton 360 is an utter disaster. You will lose the ability to right-click, as doing so causes Windows Explorer to crash, every time, if this program is installed.
This was true for me on two separate machines, both less than a year old.
Date: 2008-10-25 not bad just what we expected to protect our computer and it has done a good job so far, nothing fancy and we still have some minor problems with junk that needs cleaning, maybe from norton
Date: 2008-10-24 Norton 360 Version 2.0 Two years ago I bought the original Norton 360 and hated it. It messed up my files something awful and caused me so many problems that after only a few weeks I had to remove it. Symantec helped with the rmoval, refunded my money and I installed Internet Security, which worked great.
Since this was "New and Improved" I'm happy I decided to try it again. Scans run in the background causing no interuption where the old version slowed down and made other programs drag or stop working. There are a lot of new features like the turn off computer after defragmenter is finished that are convenient. Overall I feel safe and protected with a security system I don't have to fuss with and it doesn't interupt me with lots of questions. It knows it's job and I can get on with mine.
Date: 2008-10-24 Installation Issues..Customer support is Terrible!! BEWARE!!!! I bought this software from Staples 2 days ago. Program would not "activate" or connect to "live-update"..I called technical support. Spent 1 HOUR on hold...Finally reached someone who said my computer had a virus and I would have to pay $99.00 to have one of their techs remotely remove it...I said I bought the software to remove the vrus/spyware as it was advertised to do. Tech said OH NO you need to remove the spyware BEFORE it can protect you from the spyware..Huh? I paid the money and waited again to be connected to a tech..Tech says virus is now removed and that I can now call another tech to help me install the program...waited another 45 minutes on hold...I give up!!!... Taking software back to Staples....Pathetic, non-responsive,non-caring, and arrogant customer service... They don't care how long you wait....Just shut-up and wait!!! I even tried to call their corporate office in Cupertino, CA...Even those calls are screened after waiting on hold for 10 minutes!!!!! You cannot get ANY satisfaction!!!!!
WORST retail support experience of my entire life!!
