Pretty awesome
I'm not real critical of the Sims games. Anything Sim-related is cool with me. I installed extra RAM on my iMac to make playing this game a little better, but all-in-all, a great EP. Adds a ton of features to the Sims base game.

Want a Change of Scenery? This is Your Chance.
While not as good as Seasons or as funny as University, The Sims 2 Bon Voyage for Mac holds its own as a gorgeous change of pace for both the player and their Sims to enjoy. Three pre-made destinations to choose from, new objects, new outfits, new turn-ons and turn-offs, the option of giving your Sims jewelry, and the new option of vacation mementos, this expansion pack literally expands your world. I do agree that there are bugs, but there are patches that you can download for free if you either Google them or click on the link at the Sims 2 Official Site. As for whether Mac users will ever see another expansion pack (The Sims 3 is already scheduled for 2009) I can't be sure. I'm still waiting for Freetime AND Apartment Life myself.

A Must Buy... Maybe.
The Sims 2 Bon Voyage is a great addition to The Sims 2 franchise, but whether you should buy it or not really depends on what you want added to the game. I had been a little disappointed with the last few expansion packs, due to an over abundance of certain things, and not enough of others. For instance, Bon Voyage is obviously about travel, and adds tons of new things to do with your sims outside of their own lot, which might not be ideal for someone with a slower computer, like me, that does not handle leaving the lot very well. However, Bon Voyage is also filled with a good amount of new building items, wallpapers, floors, objects, clothes, and even some new hairstyles. This expansion pack is a necessity for any true Sims 2 fan that has a computer strong enough to run it.

Great, but has a lot of bugs.
This is truly the most fun expansion pack that I have bought.

However, issues that I had with Seasons and video card compatibility were not solved with this expansion pack as promised.

So, if you have a new Intel iMac with ATI Radeon HD 2600, do not buy this expansion pack until a patch comes out. Aspyr has been extremely slow in solving these issues and doesn't seem to care a great deal.

The EA game issues have not been solved either, such as the NPC overload issue. However, EA has come out with a PC patch that fixes many of the issues. I'm still waiting on Aspyr to come out with a Mac patch.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic game with great new clothes, objects, neighborhoods and game play. I strongly recommend the Bon Voyage EP to anyone with a Power PC Mac.
