fun for whole family
we really like Rock band, it is something we all can do as a family. The price at amazon it fantastic. Only reason we left one star out is they should of did a variety of songs instead of what they have many of them we never heard of, if they had added some other main stream songs everyone knows then our friends would like it to but they didn't because they did not know the songs. Like Joan Jett I love rock n roll, Def Leppard, other bands like these. It is still fun!

Great for the whole family
This product was purchased primarily for our kids (ages 13 and 11) but my wife and I have also enjoyed taking part. I have enjoyed playing the guitar and drums and my wife, who loves to sing, has really enjoyed taking the microphone and signing to the songs. Part of it is the sentimental aspect of playing songs we grew up with in the 1970's and 1980's.
This is not to say the kids don't love it because they do. Most of their friends also have the game so we often have extra guitars over and there are some really big jam sessions. All in all we are very pleased with the game. It was as advertised and was a real value buying through Amazon compared to any local retailers.

Our family loves this game and this was a great price we found. It was even cheaper than what Costco had it priced as!

Excellent game at excellent price!
I gave this to my daughter and she cannot stop playing. It is challenging but not frustrating and having the choice of which band member to be (guitar, drums or vocal) adds so much variety and flexibility. I assume that it was easy to set up, since my 12 year-old opened it, set it up and began playing with it when I wasn't even looking! This is the only game she has ever nagged at me to play with her. I picked this up during a Gold Box deal and I cannot believe what we got for the money. Keep up the good work Amazon!

rockin with rockband
I bought this game for my son at an amazing price, then of course not even 2 weeks later it goes down another [...] dollars...lol...figures...anywayz...at first the game did not work with our ps2, so i even went to walmart to get a new game, cause it was my sons bday and he was really dissappointed, but that game didnt work either...come to find out that this is a known problem with the game as it is a dual layer game disk. But do not return game, it is the ps2, the laser is out of allignment...either have someone fix the alignment, or what we did, is we took some old games and the ps2 to game stop, got the credit for them, then bought a refurb with the credit, and for 10dollars more we got a year warranty, the same a new ps2 would of given. And better yet, if it breaks i take it back to the store for another one, no waiting for sony to send it back. Well that fixed the problem, the game works great, cannot hardly get the kids off of it...the drums are a bit noisy, but i hear that there are mufflers for that. But the kids just love it...they are gonna give us parents a concert tonight. Excellent price and the shipping was sooo fast. Wond dissappoint!!!!
