GuardID ID Vault 2008 - USB security key Review
User Submitted GuardID ID Vault 2008 - USB security key Reviews Date: 2008-12-31 Not worth the hassle I agree with the other negative review. Security software that won't work with Firefox? That's just the first knock. It appears that after a year you will need to renew a support contract at who knows how much per year. Very buggy and a total waste of an hour trying to get it to work.
Date: 2008-11-23 PURE JUNK The ID Vault does not work at all! I will stay with my Sandisk U3 stick and the Pass2Go login software. The ID Vault is constantly downloading upgrades - it will not allow you to upgrade later, but persists until you relent! It 'recognizes' your bank site automatically, then adds it and procedes to foul up your login and manages to get your financial institution's system to lock you out! All in one easy step. How marvelous. PURE JUNK.
Date: 2008-11-16 Don't Waste Your Money This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased for a computer. My computer just got slower and slower every day. It doesn't even do a particularly good job of keeping track of your information. I found it dropped information constantly. I uninstalled it, ran a registry clean to make sure I got rid of all of it and cannot believe how much faster my laptop is. This is a real piece of junk. I am trying the RoboForm software and so far I think it is far superior and my laptop is still running great.
Date: 2008-11-15 New Product, same vendor, same hidden cost/drawbacks? I suggest that before a reader buys this they check the similar product by the same company. The reviews for it are almost all bad, and fairly specific as to why. The new product does not seem to have addressed the following issues: IE only, $40/year subscription key not described prominently in product description, requires software install on every computer where it might be used, i.e., not useful for kiosks, loaner laptops, etc.
