Fun expansion pack
My son asked for this for Christmas and he thoroughly enjoys it. No problem installing on Windows XP computer. No quirks or kinks that he's discovered yet. All in all, he's very happy with the game.

Zoo Tycoon 2 Extinct Animals Expansion Pack
This game is a great addition to the Zoo Tycoon line. There are new animals and scenerios to play and lots of fun new stuff to discover. I own every one of the Zoo Tycoon games and have never been disappointed with any of them. These games provide hours of entertainment for kids as well as adults. Works beautifully with Vista SP1
Given the fact that my daughter has been playing this newest expansion pack nonstop for the last 3 hours, it definitely passes the Fun Test. As for Vista compatibility, we're running Vista Home Premium SP1 (RC1) with an NVidia GeForce 7600GS video card (itself running the newest (169.xx) NVidia beta drivers), and the game works perfectly. If it won't run on your Vista machine, try downloading SP1 from Microsoft and updating the video drivers.

The best expansion pack yet!
It rocks! You can get dinos and extinct birds, plus several adorable mammals, including thylacines(striped marsupial dogs), warrahs(fox-like), short-faced bears and more! You can cure dinosaur diseases by indentifying the cause, then you have to find two things for a cure. The cloning mini-game is my favorite part!

not your typical video game
My son loves this game! I am not a fan of my children sitting in front of a TV or computer screen being mesmorized by video games, so I was skeptical when my son received the original Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection several years ago. This series won me over, however, when I realized that he does not just have things jumping out at him, rather, he has to use his brain and imagination to manipulate his way through this game. The Extinct Animals is a great progression of this series. The animation, options, and different tasks that can be done are great, and my son loves the diversity and number of animals that he can choose from.
