My son loves it.
We had a PS2, but unfortunately it quit working after many years. We have already invested in many games for PS2 so we opted to get this one. It is so slim and much less bulky. It works great.

Fun, Fun and more fun
I know I bought an old console in comparison with the Play3, but this small console RULES! Specially to play karaoke games!
The service from Amazon is ALWAYS EXCELENT!

A Great Bargain
If you're wanting a lot of bang for your buck, this is the system to choose. Used PS2 (and Playstation) games are cheap, the selection is enormous, and they're still a whole lot of fun, even compared to games on newer systems. With a couple of small upgrades, the slim PS2 gets even better. Wireless controllers can be found for about twenty bucks, and I've found the cheap ones work pretty well, though with limited range compared to the controllers for the PS3. For those wanting the absolute best picture quality, the component video cable for the PS2 is a good upgrade. I'm using my PS2 with a digital projector on a 92" screen and the component cable improved the picture a lot compared to the standard composite cable. This also helps if you're going to use your PS2 to view DVDs. It is still not the greatest DVD player, but especially with the component cables, it is decent. Overall, this is an incredible bargain for the price with the massive library of cheap games availabe as well as DVD compatibility. It is technologically far behind the PS3, but with a couple of inexpensive upgrades, it is more than enough to hold a lot of people over until next-gen systems start dropping in price.

Review for PlayStation 2 Console Black
I bought me this PlayStation 2 for my college dorm next year because I love to play DDR and it is also a DVD player and music player. Even though the player is no longer "in" because of new systems such as XBOX360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, I am a firm believer that some older things are better than some newer things (they're also usually cheaper, lol).

Great value for the money
If you are not a hard core gamer it makes sense not to spend $400 on a system you'll use once or twice a week. PS2 is great value, for the price point you can get almost all the games on PS3 - Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, Dance Revolution, sports, etc. Sony will keep supporting PS2 until 2010 I believe. Plus it is a small console, fits beautifully anywhere. The upside to getting the PS3 is the system is also a Blu-Ray player - if you are looking for both a gaming console and the player then PS3 is a good system at a good price.
