Date: 2008-06-26 They want you to pay $99 more to remove a virus I have been buying norton for many years and had no problems. However, a month ago it did not catch a virus. I kept running scans and they all came back good. I called the customer service number. No one could speak english. It almost sounded like a recording. They acted like they were going to fix the problem. Then the rep gave me a different number to call. I called this number and they wanted $99 more to get the virus off my computer. I told them I already paid for the software, and I thought the purpose of having it to take care of viruses. The kept repeating the same thing over and over....hmmm... and wanted $99. I told them no I don't have $99 for you....then..... 20 minutes later...they call me back asking again for $99. I will never purchase this product again.
Date: 2008-06-23 No Problems as Yet Had the latest Norton professionally installed by our commercial computer service with extra care to erase all remnants of its predecessor. No problems have emerged after one month of activity.
Date: 2008-06-20 Slows Computer & More This product will slow your computer significantly but more than that the Live Update does not work for me at least. I have had AV 2008 for six months it has never worked, and I have vertified the configuration more than once. Tech support has not been helpful. Their solution seems to be "uninstall" and "reinstall."
Date: 2008-06-20 Enough antivirus program for me I have used norton for at least 3 years. I like antivirus only and don't like some additional funcations some other software has. This one gave me enough protection through the time. Good one!
Date: 2008-06-18 Fairly Good NAV is the best Antivirus program out there. It blocks anything I could think of that needs blocking plus anything I can't think of. Simple to set up and easier to use than older versions. Only problem I have noticed is when the computer goes to sleep it turns off NAV and you have to manually turn it back on when you wake up your computer. I am on cable modem so connection is always on. I think NAV should be also.
