Good but...
This system is OK but as people have already mentioned there are problems with the sound and color on NES games. I have also noticed some slowdown on SNES games (eg Super R-Type and Final Fight), when there are a lot of sprites on screen these games slow down big time which is disappointing.

The controllers you get with the system are pretty flimbsy, you'll definitly need to buy some snes controllers.

All that said its still a good system but beware the emulation is not perfect.

Could have been perfect
My only real beef with this system is the terrible audio quality for the NES side. It's pretty bad when I'm actually wincing as I hear the music for Dragon Warrior 4!

One of the main reasons I still love to play classic games like Megaman,Dragon Warrior and Ninja Gaiden is to hear all the great music that is featured. When you take that away.... well,it's just not as fun playing with your ipod on;but hey,at least you can still play.

On a side note,it's been said that you can NOT play Dragon Warrior 2. Well,I could play my copy just fine.Maybe it has something to do with the save feature?? So far though, everything played out perfectly.

As for the SNES side it's almost completely flawless. The sound quality is perfect as is the gameplay. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot play Super Mario RPG;which I think really s-cks.That was one of my favorite 16-bit games. You can't play it for the same reason you can't play Castlevania 3:Dracula's Curse on the nes side.It has to do with a newer chip that was used in the game's creation. It makes the information process faster. The good news is that there are only a few games that use that chip both on the nes and snes side.

As other reviewers have said, the cords with the controllers are short;I recomend buying an extension cable for the snes at your local used gaming store. Also the controllers that come with it aren't very good (at least in my case) The buttons had very slow response rate and some didn't even work. However the contollers can be replaced with traditonal snes ones and work perfect for both 8-bit and 16-bit.

You might also find yourself in a struggle with the death grip that the FC twin puts on your nes games;supposedly this lessens over time.

This would have been a perfect system esp. with the ability to play games from both the 8-bit and 16-bit generations. However the poor audio quality on the nes side and minus Super Mario RPG on the snes side take away a few points.Still it's a very admirable attempt, and I'd rather use the FC twin than have another two systems on my tv (I already have a PS2,Xbox and gamecube hooked up!)

The Yobo FC Twin is delicious.
I've had one of these things for well into a year now, and I can honestly say it's the shizzle. After a few trials and errors (the controllers that came with the system seem to stop working after a while, original SNES controllers FTW) I couldn't be happier - my Super Gameboy works in this, and if you give a game a good cleaning with Q-Tips and rubbing alcohol (when experiencing problems) this thing plays just about anything I can throw at it. It's not perfection, but it's a damn good substitute.

Mixed Bag
It plays NES and SNES, which sounds good on paper. However there are a few problems with this system.
1) Cords for the controllers are only like four feet long.
2) Doesn't play all the games (most but not all).
3) When you jostle the system it will reset your save games. This happened to me on Final Fantasy 3, Mario World and Mechwarrior.

4) Oh and loe and behold the above problems feed on themselves. When you readjust in your seat because the controlers cord keeps your eyes burning because of the TVs close proximity you can look forward to the cord tugging the system and in turn deleting everything you had done up until that point. Thank you FC twin, after about 30 hours on Final Fantasy 3 I can now look forward to playing the whole game all over again.
