The Witcher Rocks!
It reminds me a bit of Prince of Persia, but much, much better. You've got to have a good system to run it or it's going to run really slow, but if you've got a halfway decent system it's fantastic! I highly recommend it.

The Game of Games
I can't believe it, for an interactive game, this game is great there is only one other game that seemed to capture my attention like this game and it was Star Wars Sith RPG.

The graphics on this game are unbelievable and it the story is really good as well. I haven't finished this game yet but there are some suggestive intimate areas in this game so if you are thinking about buying this game for a child or a friend just keep that in mind.

I am running a AMD dual core 6000+ processor with 4 gig of memory and vista 64 bit OS, my motherboard has on board video witch is pretty strong as far as on board video goes but when I loaded the game it just sent me back an error and said, "uhh not today" Well I ordered a ATI Radeon 3870 with 512 meg and this game runs well now. I do get an error that crashes the game from time to time so i save often. I hear that this problem should be fixed with the 1st service pack for Vista so we shall see. I am overclocking my mother and found out that this could be an issue, I haven't reset my settings to normal yet but I will, So if you are running Vista beware of the possible problems. From what I understand XP has no issues so that's a great thing for XP users.

Game play is great for this game and to do battle is just to much fun, make sure you pay attention to everything because you never know what you will find.

I really hate paying full price for a game but for this one I haven't regreted it.

Sex, Swords and Politics
Without any hyperbole this is one of the best RPG titles I've played in over a dozen years. It's the first game I'd place along side Planescape: Tourment, Baldors Gate 2 and Diablo (the very first time you played it before there were a hundred clones of it made.) I put it head and shoulders above Oblivion although that title does allow a little more free roam gameplay in a beautiful 3D world. It's simply just not as compelling as The Witcher.

Being based on a book, it should come as no surprise that it runs along through Chapters as you advance the storyline. While the dialog isn't shakespeare, it's good enough to draw you into it's world and keep you up late playing out the various scenarios. A slight drawback is that the storytelling is SO tight that you have little opportunity to revisit areas after you've advaced to new chapters or explore places that don't specifically advance the storyline. The combat is fun and intuitive, the magic and alchemy fit in very smoothly, too.

I gave this game a full five stars although there are a couple minor negatives like the long load times whenever you are saving/loading games. That's a fairly minor thing considering the overall value of the title. After playing many RPGs over there years, this was a real standout, worth every penny I paid and a pleasure to own.

The other interesting thing is that this title was produced in Poland. If this is what the Poles have to offer by way of computergaming then I'm looking forward to seeing more of their work in the future.

Oblivivion was good.....but this one's GREAT !
Besides a few minor quirks - depends on your rig.
A few crashes here and there - "Like what PC game is ammuned to that"?
"The Witcher" with an engrossing story - " You mean game companies are actually starting to bring this element back"?
A different,yet fun battle system - "Suprise..NO DIALO CLONE #1 billion"

In a word........"BRILLIANT"!!

*Note to other RPG game developers - " FOR THE LOVE ALL THAT'S ORIGINAL ,
PLEASE DO NOT CLONE THIS GAME" !!!!!

Calm Down Everything will be ok!!!
Ok this is a tough review to write because of the neverending glitches and Memory problems. As far as game play/ fun is concerned this game is simply Amazing!!! But before you can enjoy the full depth of this game you have to engage in a real world battle of blood sweat and tears that will end with you victorious, or completely exhausted and pissed off beyond imagination. I was able to run this game no problems, no glitches or bugs on a 3 year old laptop. But on a brand new machine 3.6Ghz Dualcore- 2Gb of Pc8500 mem- 10,000rpm Hdd- and dual 8800GT alpha dogs SLI- yeah right cant even load the frign game!!! tryed patches, updates you name it... WON't PLAY!!! But don't let my frustrations keep you from an unbeleavable gaming experiance! I say take a chance and buy. I loved it.
