overlord
Interesting new concept in gaming, mixes a little 3rd person action with strategy and problem solving plus the storyline and setting was great along with the comic relief.

Quircky fun
This game is a lot of fun to play. You are the master of a bunch of disobedient imps. I was not challenged by this game, so if you are in the mood for a challenge than this is not for you, but if you want to have fun and actually laugh during a gaming session than this is great.

There are some puzzles that you have to guide your minions through.

It uses the way point system, much like Diablo 2, for saving progress. I cannot find a penalty for death. The controls are simple and work fine.

The only un-positive thing i can say is that the graphics are not awe inspiring (I have a great graphics card). For example, your legs and feet move at a different speed than the ground, and minor things like that.

Great mindless fun
This game is hilarious -- mainly due to the reactions of your overly-excited minions as they rush off to do your various biddings.

Something I would not buy Again
Overlord for all the hype and ballyhoo just doesn't get it with me. The interface controls are all wrong to what I'm used to and the game seems more suited to be a video game than a computer game. I always use the right mouse button to move the player forward and go right and left by moving the mouse right and left. Even in games that have keyboard commands for movement instead of the mouse, you can alter these to use the mouse, or at least some of them. The game itself might be all right if there was wider use of the mouse in what I've mentioned above. Unfortunately there isn't and you can't switch movement commands to the mouse. I'm sorry, to down the game but, I gave up joy sticks and keypads a long time ago when I moved up to real computers, and have no desire to use them with computer games again. They're fine with game machines but they don't make the grade with me when it comes to computers. I'll probably sell the game since I have no intention of playing it and regret I ever purchased it to begin with.

Enternaining
Puzzle like @ entertaining. Generally I hate puzzles @ mazes but I accept this. The goofy nature lends to good fun. After one figures out one isn't evil (kinda confusing at first) but a power grabber, one get on with it. Way cool to send minions to fight/pillage/get stuff (main play). Goofy @ Fun! Recomended.
