Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Review (continued)
More User Submitted Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Reviews
Date: 2008-12-22 Good price of tech I got this headset with the Tom Clancy's Endwar Bundle at Bestbuy. The original headset's microphone was too short and did not come to the front of my mouth so I had to use it awkwardly.
Pros: -Wireless -Easy to use -Picks up voice better than original wired headset -Rechargeable
Cons: -Doesn't work with some older versions of the xbox 360 controllers (I own an older version from earlier this year 2008 and there are problems with sync. If you really want to know specific google "xbox 360 wireless headset glith" or "problem") -Pricey (In my opinion only worth about $30 max.)
Date: 2008-12-20 Never going back to wired. I purchased this expecting my other wireless headset to die anytime soon. But for the last few weeks it hasn't and I've been using both of them. When one dies I switch to the fully charged one. And believe it or not, that extends the battery life quite a bit. I love my wireless headset, it has a decent range, about 40 ft. and excellent sound. Dare I say better than the wired set. It's much more comfortable, it may feel odd on your ear at first but in no time at all you won't even notice it.
There is one complaint, when the battery gets low, it does seem to disconnect temporarily, which can be annoying mid-sentence, and you get cut off, or your friend does. It may be due to some kind of interference, but again it usually happens when the battery is low. Otherwise this is a great product and I have no complaints.
Date: 2008-12-19 Xbox 360 Wireless headset Works very great, totally love the wireless headset. The only thing that bugs me is that it takes at least 6 hrs to charge. The plus side is that you can hear perfect compared to the regular headset. The last negative thing is the normal price for the headset is insanely high. Overall this is a great accessory to the xbox 360.
Date: 2008-12-16 Piece of garbage I've had this for a little over 6 months. While it usually works fine, it doesn't offer anything over the wired headset that justifies over 3 times the price. I wear glasses and its especially annoying to have this fit over the ear with the ear band constantly messing around with the sticks of the frame. All this was fine and I was somewhat happy till I lost my USB charger cable. I tried looking for a charger cable online and the only place I could buy it from was on ebay for [...]. I called xbox support only for them to tell me they don't sell the charging cable separately and that the only way to get a new charging cable is to buy another headset. I am disappointed as to how such a large company is foolish enough not to recognize the need to sell these cables separately. I even asked the customer service agent if they could just send me a cable but she was glad to repeat the same stupid thing again, "you'll have to buy a new headset". I can't imagine anyone dumb enough to actually buy a new headset just to get the charging cable. The cable when mass produced would probably cost around [...] to make and Microsoft could have easily sold those for[...]. Anyways, don't waste your money on this buy a regular headset instead, that way you can always be connected to your party without having to worry about whether or not your headset is adequately charged. I am definitely buying a regular headset over a charging cable for [...].
Date: 2008-12-09 This is needed for the Xbox experience I was a little skeptical at first to figure out how to connect it to my xbox. But when I did it couldn't be easyer and it enhances the whole experience that you can reaceave from playing multiplayer. this is a must, If you connect your XBOX to Xbox live you need this.
