Date: 2008-11-24 Massively Awesome! If you like RPG and FPS (it's third person) game types, then you'll love Mass Effect. The only annoying thing that comes to mind is that you can't skip dialogue. So, if you are playing it over or if you just keep dieing in a boss fight, you have to listen to them yammer on and on... but, the game's graphics and the intriguing mysteries and coolness of the storyline are enough to get me to play it a few times. Oh, plus the fun of shooting stuff!! :D
Date: 2008-11-19 Simply the best! I've been a video game fan since my brother introduced me to a game called Knights of the Old Republic, when I learned the same company was creating another scifi adventure game I latched on immediatly. I followed the game for two years, chatted with developers online and analyzed every video thrown the fan's way. After a long wait I was not disappointed.
This video game is simply the best made to date overall, maybe some have better graphics, there may be some gliches here and there but take the story, the graphics, the characters, the dialogue, and the action experience and it is not hard to see why this game has won over 80 awards to date, it even beat Halo 3 to win Best Video Game of the Year!!!
You haven't had the video game experience until you've played Mass Effect.
Date: 2008-11-11 Really Fun The start may be a little overwhelming from learning new controls and getting a feel for the game so I can see why some might say that they don't enjoy it. But if you give it a chance and let yourself get used to it, it becomes pretty much the most amazing game. The story is fantastic. During the journey of your character you can do many fun things. Plus, it also allows for good achievements to add to your gamerscore. Finally, a game that actually seems possible to 100%.
Date: 2008-11-11 Bioware never ceases to amaze What a dynamic game. I'm a big fan of KOTOR and Jade Empire and this game just takes it to the next level. If you are an RPG fan you can't ask for better, but I'm sure Bioware will come up with something even better down the pipeline. Great job guys!!
Date: 2008-11-11 Long, a bit repetetive, but glorious A stunningly good game, worthy of being included alongside the classic Bioware triumphs like KOTOR and the Baldur's Gate series. Mass Effect is perhaps a bit too long, and the combat is nothing to write home about, but the feel of the game is epic from start to finish, a glorious space opera that doesn't stop until the final moment. The story is detailed and complicated, the universe is fully and exhaustively fleshed out and whole, and the voice acting, to my abject astonishment, is actually damn good.
I can't recommend Mass Effect highly enough.
