Xbox 360 Live 4000 Points Review (continued)
More User Submitted Xbox 360 Live 4000 Points Reviews
Date: 2008-04-07 Well, they're points... Well, the review asked "how much fun is this game?" and I have to say, paying for so many points is NOT fun. However, I have become quite enamored with the Xbox Live Arcade and its games. I have purchased this but now (mostly due to my impatience) have switched to purchasing points directly through Microsoft.
Date: 2008-04-03 Serves its purpose Thee points cost too much in my opinion, but it serves its purpose of buying games and whatever off of XBL. 4000 will get you about 5 arcade games, depending on whether they are of the 400 or 800 or 1600 variety.
Date: 2008-02-29 Received the Microsoft Points Amazon definitely did a good job delivering the Microsoft Points right to my house. I received it not too long ago and the card works (which is really important, of course).
What I REALLY like about the Microsoft Points cards is how Microsoft changed them. Before, you used to have to SCRATCH a section of the card with a coin to see the code (which risked scratching the code also and making it unreadable) but now, they put some type of glue on the back of the card and it is pasted to the back of the box that the card is in. Obviously the glue I'm talking about ISN'T the sticky kind. You just pull the card right off the package and the code is right there in the back of the card (without that scratch stuff on it).
Overall, I'm really happy with the purchase and how Microsoft listened to us about the "scratch off code" issue and changed their cards so we didn't risk scratching the code and making it unreadable.
THANK YOU AMAZON AND GOOD JOB MICROSOFT!
Date: 2008-02-22 Microsoft finally gets smart Not much to add from all the other positive reviews of this product, except that the card I just got does not have the silver ruboff anymore.
All the 1600 point cards I have bought in the past (the most recent one being two weeks prior to getting this 4000 point card) has the serial code covered by those scratch-off silver layers, similar to those instant lottery tickets you can buy.
The problem with the scratch-offs (other than being plainly annoying) is that if you're not careful, you can easily scratch off the serial number as well. So if you still have one with the scratch-off layer, do it gently.
The 4000 point card I just got doesn't have the scratch-off. I don't know if they've all been like this (this is my first 4000 point card that I have bought) but kudos. Now Microsoft just needs to do this to all their cards. Oh... and get rid of the stupid plastic blister packaging. Not only are they super annoying to cut and open, but they're such an environmental waste.
Date: 2008-02-15 New cards do not have scratch-off? I just received my points in an order from amazon, and it seems that it doesn't have the scratch-off portion anymore (so no worrying about scratching off the code like I had on a previous card)
Worked fine!
