Date: 2008-04-30 DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS PRODUCT! Downloading and installing the update to Norton 360 was the worst mistake I've made with my computer in ages. It completely obliterated by wireless connection (which is still not fixed) and interfered with my QuickBooks prgram. (Three pages of instructions from QuickBooks on how to fix it which I haven't attempted as yet! (But at least QuickBooks is addressing the issue. Norton doesn't seem to know or care that it's new program is destroying other programs upon installation.) I haven't been able to do work for 2 days now and there's not a light at the end of the tunnel yet. I spent over 4 hours with Norton chat support and nothing was resolved. Yikes. DON'T DO IT!!!
Date: 2008-04-30 Symantec makes is impossible to return anything After a couple of days after installing this program my computer slowed down and eventually wouldn't even boot. Trying to get help from tech support is a nightmare. It is also very difficult even getting in contact with them because it was hard for me to even find the phone number. The main problem I had was when I tried to return the program. When I went to the return page I could not get the return form to print. I called tech support and they said that my computer was the problem and refused to send me a return form. I didn't believe them because I could go to any other website and print all of the forms I want. The print form button to me was just acting like some kind of graphic. The button was no kind of active link at all. I took the program back to Best Buy where I bought it and I was just a couple of days past the return time but they still let me exchange it for another program. I got CA Internet Security and don't buy that one either. Even more horrible customer service and program performance.
Date: 2008-04-29 Trying to get my money back Norton 360 Version 2.0 For Grandma... Can not schedule tasks. Can not control where speed disk places files. Removed Unerase capability. Seems to run the AntiVirus very often. Can not turn off the AntiVirus scan. CcSvcHst.exe will lock up computer from being shut down. CcSvsHst.exe will take over the OS. Removes Norton System Works.
Date: 2008-04-18 Great Product This product is terrific. My computer runs better and faster than it did with Norton's Internet Security. The one complaint is that - as is usual with Norton products - the installation instructions in the booklet are less than complete (in fact, non-existent this time). As a result, you start the install process, hit errors, get sent to the Symantec website; download fixes, restart your computer and start again. Once you are up and running, though, everything is simple and easy.
Date: 2008-04-17 Great all in one protection I don't know a lot about software, so when I purchase them, I hope they'll take care of everything once I install it. Norton 360 did exactly that, I do not have to worry about changing my settings or dealing with any technical things that I wouldn't understand. A great product that's easy to use!
