shouldn't have buy it
The kid were so happy when we got it. After we plugged it in and start to dance the mat just go all over the floor, we try to put that sticky pad we use under the rug and it still moving around. Now it's in the corner no one want to use it, since it's too late to return..sorry to say, it is a piece of junk..waste money only

Great Product!
Was shipped fast! Product is just as expected! I use the dance pad just about every day. Just remember not to crease them or the arrows will work funny!

Dance Dance Revolution Dance Mats
My nephew and friends are hooked on these dance games. It's more like Simon with your feet and provides a fun way to exercise.
I bought several of them to have multiple players at more than one location.
The controllers seem responsive enough. The DDR mats stay in place on the floor better than the GamePlay universal mat. Both basic mats have the following issues: 1) They curl and/or bunch up during use and 2) The plastic material wears out fast.
I bought the mats to pull out for occasional guest entertainment. Since everyone loves to play so much, I expect to upgrade the mats shortly.
Bottom Line - If you think or know it will get heavily used, get the mat upgrade. Otherwise, these are excellent for testing interest or to pull out for parties.

DDR - A great way to exercise
My husband and I walk frequently, but when the weather turns wet and cold, we can't get out as much. We thought about purchasing a walking machine, but they can be pricey, and they take up a lot of space. Our daughter and son-in-law got one of the DDR games and a dance pad for Christmas, so we tried it out. What a blast! Even people like me who have no sense of rhythm can do it. And just going through the lessons provides a good, aerobic workout. So now my husband and I can dance to our hearts' content and get the exercise we need, even when the weather's nasty.
