Back to the roots
I love Tomb Raider since 96 and was very excited about this game. First i had the PC version, that didnt work (waste of time and money) until I finally bought me the PS2 version.

I enjoy this game, it reminds me a lot of the old Tomb Raider, I think they have done a great job in bringin the same atmosphere as in the original Tomb Raider. The puzzles were good, not to difficult but also not way to easy like legend, it is enjoyable. I love the graphics eventhough they are much better on PC version. There is one thing that I didnt like. THe checkpoints. I would rather save it myself instead of passing a checkpoint. It was annoying. Sometimes I had to make sure I dont hit a checkpoint and then when I did anyway I got upset.

Other than that I think they put lots of efford into this remake. They complemented Lara's new functions into Lara's orignal worlds with lots of respect. Beautiful combination of old/new.

I highly recommend it and hope TR Underworld will be just as great with lots of more harder puzzles :o)

Lack of help but..
The game over all is fun to play but trying to get any help while playing is impossible.
GTA SA has been out longer then this game and folks are still out there to help.
So in short if you can figured things out for yourself then buy it.

a classic revamped
I had the PC version of the original when it 1st came out in the 90s on a CD-ROM. As advertised, this revisiting offers crisper images, bug-free operation, some new adventures & a totally revamped training facility (Croft Manor). The only negative aspect of Anniversary for the PS2 in comparison to the original PC version is the lack of fine motor control for Lara; she doesn't walk or sidestep anymore. I'm not sure if that's due to the change in platform or to the updating (another review will probably tell you). For gameplay I give it 5 stars.

However, I only give it 4 stars on an overall basis. This is due to the fact that my 1st copy of the game proved to be altogether too easily scratched & I had to pony up another $20 to buuy another copy. I suppose the fact that I was willing to do this tells you something about how much fun the game is.

Tomb Raider RULES
This game is WONDERFUL!!! I love that there are no complicated controls and the graphics... WOW! The puzzles get quite confusing at times, but it is VERY rewardin once you actually figure them out.
