Date: 2007-01-17 Angry and frustrated. Ok maybe not a review of the game but more a comment on amazon and blizzard. How can you take preorders months in advance and not be able to ship on time? As of today the estimated ship date for my preorder is 1/20 4 days after relase with an arrival date some time after that.
Thanks for nothing.
Date: 2007-01-16 The most anticipated expansion ever! This is and may very well be always the best mmorpg. The expansion will only make it better and the collectors edition just cant be toped. This is a must have for anyone who plays mmos.
Date: 2007-01-13 From a beta tester I was lucky enough to get into the closed beta testing, and can say that this expansion is amazing! The quests are fun, several have funny names and stories behind them. There is also alot of pop culture in the expansion, much of it deserving of a good laugh when you find it. The scenery in all zones is highly detailed and sometimes makes you just stop and look around. There is plenty of content for casual and hardcore gamers. You can grind endlessly on the amount of mobs around, level on quests, pvp objectives in zones, several new reputations to work on, and new instances for groups and raiders. The new gear availble to players (from green to epic) helps casual people catch up to their raiding peers; and it will help anyone who wanted to join a end-game raid guild but thought (or was told) that their gear was not good enough. Money is much easier to come by in Outland. Monster drops sell for quite a bit more, coin drop is higher, greens are plentiful. Save and sell everything! Learning to ride a flying mount is very expensive. 800g first rank of flying, 5000g second rank of flying. The mounts themselves run 100g and 200g respectivley. The mounts are sold by the Wildhammer Clan and at the time of this posting the faction was removed; so there is no faction grinding for a discount :) All in all, beta was a great experience, and I highly recommend this expansion. See you in Outland!
Date: 2006-11-22 An obession in a box World of Warcraft is designed to be playable by the once a week player or the die hard gamer. However, once you've hit those first levels, once you beat your first boss, I don't know how once a week will be enough! There is simply so much to explore and do, that getting to the limit cap will seem like a whirlwind. Don't be afraid to try everything, mix it up, classes, races, professions, they all benefit you and they all make it fun. Good Hunting!
Date: 2006-10-21 The expansion to a great game Great game if your into this sort of thing. This expansion will bring people into a whole differant realm. Not for the casual gamer who spends an hour or so a week playing games. If you are like me, I spends hours a day playing this game. I'm addicted and I love it. For me thats ok for others it might not be. This release brings a higher level cap. Which translates into more experiance grinds. Through blizzard boast that this will be more quest oriented so that you are not exposed to the repetivness of killing the same mob over and over again.
