I had given up World of Warcraft a while ago, only because I spent so very many hours playing that I wan't getting much else done.
I should have know I couldn't stay away. A few weeks ago I got an email from Blizzard offering me a free ten day trial of this new expansion to their game. I ordered this collectors edition the next day.
I had gotten the collectors edition of the original game. I liked much of the items it came with, especially the in game pets. I decided to pay the extra money for the collectors edition of this expansion for the same reason. It came with a few items I like better than the original including a mouse pad that is a map of the game world instead of just a cloth map. And once you activate the expansion, all of your characters can use the new pet, no matter how high your level.

Excellent Kit
The Burning Crusade Collectors Edition is a very nice setup. The behind the scenes DVD has a lot of great info and interviews on the BC, as well as highlights from BlizzCon. And the art book is absolutely incredible. Well worth the price alone, even without the other extra stuff (mouse pad, maps, TCG cards, etc.)

Only buy this game if you are independently wealthy and have no need for a job or any social life outside of the game. WoW and the expansion together create a gaming force so powerful that you will not be able to resist playing. It will vacuum out your soul and leave you an empty shell of a person, haggard and broken. You will lose your apartment, spouse, job, and friends and end up shattered and desperate, mindlessly searching for an internet cafe so you can hook up your next fix. At night, your fingers will twitch, clicking a phantom mouse as you dream of ore deposits and herbs that don't exist.

Blizzard does Collector's Editions right!
You'd be hard-pressed to complain about the contents of this edition. I have yet to be disappointed with any Blizzard Collector's Edition. Chock-full of goodies (see details in the product description), it is more than worth the additional price.

Game is great, Amazon is not...
I love this game 100%. I pre ordered the Collecters Edition back in October and was SUPER excited to level to 70, start up Jewel Crafting, and see all new content! I received my copy the day it came out, but I was missing items inside the box!!! I called Blizzard about it, and they said I have to go through Amazon to get a replacement. Amazon has said they cannot replace what was missing. So now I've paid full price for an incomplete product. I'm not too happy.
