Date: 2008-03-29 Can't Stop This!!! I got the game (Guitar Hero III) for my uh-huh (50+) birthday and I love it. Ofcourse it came with the game guitar, but I felt I needed something alittle smaller, shorter to fit my arm-spread, so I purchased this and it just fits the bill! Not only can I play it more readily then the standard size, but it seems alittle more sensitive (and cuter!) and remote works fine up to about 25 ft; seems to be just what the dr ordered. Love it. I guess you CAN teach an ol' dog new tricks!!!
Date: 2008-03-28 WHAMMY IT'S A GOOD GUITAR, BUT WHEN FIRST PLAYED THE WHAMMY BAR DID NOT WORK.TOOK GUITAR APART AND FOUND LOOSE WIRES,SOLDER THEM NOW IS FINE.
Date: 2008-03-21 Has it's flaws I'm not really using it for it's stated intentions, so I won't give it anything lower than a 4. I'm using it on a PS3, with a USB to PS2 adapter. That being said, it's either the adapter, or the wireless unit that comes with the controller. I'm guessing it's the latter. I'm getting, 8 maybe 10 feet at the most out of this thing. There's nothing interfering with the controller & the receiver that I can see, unless it's actually the wireless network or Bluetooth built into the PS3, but the controller is on a radio frequency after all. You would think that shouldn't matter, but perhaps it does... to a point. If not, then I have a haunted controller, becasue the pluck switch/trigger stops working all together & moves to the whammy/tremolo bar. Very odd. I thought it was funny at first & actually played a few songs like that, but after a while it loses its flair & just becomes annoying. I would have sent it back, but that would leave me without anything to control GH2 & GHRT80s, being how the PS3 controller is useless in those games. Bottom line, if you can wait for something better to come out, do so. If you're in dire need to play those GH games on your PS3, then you can give it a shot.
Date: 2008-03-14 left-handers beware! I ordered this guitar for my kid brother, who plays the game left handed. I never thought to check that he would be able to wear it comfortably, but it turns out that there is only a nob for the strap on the side of the guitar suited for right-handed players.
He still loves it and can make it work, he doesn't think it's worth the hassle of sending it back in. But just a heads up for the rest of you.
Date: 2008-02-27 Great Fun NO BLOOD!!! I bought this for my kids for Christmas. They have to fight me for their turn. We all love this game.
