Addictive
This game is for gamers have a lot of time on their hands. It is very time consuming due to the amount of levels that you have to complete, and it's hard to leave. Only buy this if you've got the time to play it.

Mindless Repetition
So much promise, so many cool weapons and spells, but then it is the same thing, over and over and over again. The game is ONLY level after level of dungeon with perhaps 7 different atmospheres that cycle. This game had so much potential but after about 5 levels of the dungeon you've seen pretty much everything. Get something else.

First-rate RPG goodness
This inexpensive, simple little Diablo clone is a first-rate time-waster RPG for those who want a simple stress-reliver to while away an hour or two. It is essentially Diablo 1 with a much deeper dungeon and the shift from a class-based RPG to a skill-based one. It also adds the rather entertaining feature of having a pet that morphs into a killer monster-companion by feeding it select species of fish. Graphically, Fate is a slight improvement over the Diablo games with full 3-D scrollability and a more cartoonish look. But at its heart, it is just Diablo 1 with some nice additions. If you want solo dungeon crawling fun with no danger of multiplayer exploiters ruining your fun, look no further.

The World of Fate in My Eyes
Fate is full of exciting adventures. I especially love being able to have a pet(usually a cat because I have two in real life)because it can help you on quests and grows with you. I used to be hooked on Runescape, then I dicovered Fate and I love A LOT more. It's really cool doing all the quests because you get rewards when you complete them. It really teaches me how to advance small steps to acheive your ultimate goal which is to defeat the monster that is waiting for you(sometimes I forget what to look for so I go to Bremen)in the dungeon. I love all the different clothes you can pick because you increase certain characteristics. I think the robes are really nice because all of them look great, no matter what level you are. I also like to increase my strength so I can wield a better weapon than a darkwood staff. Learning spells is also really cool because you get to see the effects of your magic. Fate is an entirely different realm. I absolutely can't stop playing it!

Not bad for the bucks
Considering the price, this game is not bad. If you're a serious gamer it probably won't be a challenge except at the legendary level. Just accumulate strength points and critical strike skills and be sure to invest in good armor an a weapon with high hit points. I like it because you get to have a dog for a companion and there are times when you can go fishing. What more can you ask for under $20
