The Game That Never Ends...
I've been playing this game on and off for over a year now & I absolutely love it!

In "Fate" you are an adventurer who, along with your pet side-kick, must travel deep into a cavernous dungeon in order to destroy monsters and complete various quests for the townspeople of the fabled town of Grove.

Along the way you'll earn experience & fame points, as well as gold - but be sure to spend them wisely, as the choices you make will ultimately determine your fate...

This is one of those games that truly never ends. In the beginning you'll meet with an old woman by the dungeon gate who will give you a "major" quest (a quest that you won't be able to complete for quite some time) and, once you've completed that quest and speak to the woman again, you'll be given the option to retire now or continue to play. Once you decide to retire, you are given the ability to choose 1 item to pass down to your descendent and then you become that descendent, starting from the beginning again with a new "major" quest.

Overall, I think this game is great! The graphics are really good, the controls are easy to use and the quests are logical - you always know what you need to do when. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes the old-style adventure games (similar to Zelda) - it won't disappoint!

A Great Diablo clone
This is a great Diablo I clone, an isometric, top down, mouse driven, hack and slash dungeon crawl, very similar to Darkstone. There's no pretense here, no plot, no story line, so far no cut scenes, just your character and his(or her) pet drilling down deeper and deeper and deeper into the dungeon. I passed on this game dozens of times thinking it would be boring and repetitive. It's not. It's addictive, fun and relaxing, it doesn't take itself seriously, somewhere it's become an RPG paradigm that a good RPG has to be dark and grim and gloomy. This game is light and cheerful and friendly. There's very little blood and gore, there's no tough broad busting out of her skin tight skimpy outfit making wisecracks, and there are no long pretentious speeches by the NPCs. The graphics look great without needing to buy a new computer or losing your mind trying to patch and configure. Pop the disc in, install and start playing. Twelve or fourteen hours later you'll still be eagerly waiting to see what's around the next corner with a smile on your face. I can't explain why, this game simply works on a lot of levels, pure and simple hack and slash, dungeons and dragons, sword and sorcery fun. Try it, you'll like it.

A Great Casual Game
OK, it's not quite what the new genre of "Casual Game" has defined, but it is really great to sit down and play it casually. Not difficult to master, mostly about building your character, no story line to speak of, but still strangely fun. It will never be up there with Diablo II or Warcraft, but sometimes you just want to play a game that doesn't matter so much, you know? So, load it up, kick back, and have a few hours (or more) of fun without having to worry about saving the world as we know it!

Game Great but Amazon Shipping slow!
My teens love this game. However, apparently Amazon now gives a punishment for "free" shipping by waiting two to three weeks to ship after your order is paid for. I don't think much of that.
