Date: 2008-02-20 Scrabble I love the dictionary that can be turned on during play. I don't like the fact that the disk has to be in the computer in order to play the game.
Date: 2008-01-22 Ego bruising I have a older (2001) compaq desktop w/Xp and have no problems with the software. I have loaded it once and off it goes. My only problem is the beatings I've received.
Date: 2008-01-19 Game worked for Vista! I accidently bought this game for a Vista Home Edition computer and it worked perfectly. Good scrabble game. Good gameplay. I am happy with the sale.
Date: 2008-01-08 Oddly primitive I bought this as a gift for my wife who loves Scrabble and has often played the older Scrabble Complete. This newer version of the game has an oddly primitive feel to it and lacks some of the nice customizability of the older one. It is a smooth and very stable version unlike its predecessor so it gets 3 stars as a compromise. She prefers it to the Scrabble 2007 Interactive game which I also got her despite my personal impression that the 2007 Scrabble looks more polished. The AI is as tough as any of the versions when set appropriately and this game would be useful for a wide range of people, but still retains that odd, primitive, "childlike" feel.
Date: 2008-01-01 Foul!! Most of the reviews I have read here, talk about the technicalities of its running on XP or a lap-top. I have a totally different perspective. I find that when I play against the computer at the Elite level, it cheats! Can't recall the words at the moment, but the computer used some words that were not in the Scrabbble 4th ed. dictionary, and challenged some of my words that were. Wonder if anyone else has had this experience?
