Popular and worth the cost.
My twelve year old cannot get enough of this game. It's catching on with many of his friends, too. If a kid likes Strategy games like "Runescape" he'll like this. It's not hard to begin but takes some time to get good at it. My boy played months against the computer and has recently begun the online version against live players. As a mom I like that there is a lot of strategy and a little bit of history involved in the game. A game well worth the cost.

Skip the AI Play and go straight to the Internet
This game is not a game to play solitaire with. The AI is weak and an experienced player can beat it every time. It should only be played solitaire until you have the basics down. The real game play is on the internet. Playing as a team or face to face against other players is what this game is all about. There the competition is fierce. After you have played a real person you will not be back to face the computer again. Live play I would rate 4 to 5 stars.

Poor substitute for the board game
I played the board game of A&A for a long time and I was excited to get this game. Unfortunately, it didn't feel much like the game at all. The AI in the World War II section was horrible and it was easy to overwhelm after a few turns. The actual battles were a bit better and often kept me on my toes but it was not enough to win me over.

An overall fun game.
This game is quite fun, after about half an hour figuring out the game it gets to be pretty addictive. There are just a few things about the game that could be better. First of all the system of gathering resources is kinda weak, I mean you just build a building and BOOM you got the resources. The second is the origination of troops and units, some times it just ends up turning in to a big ball of shooting and that's no fun =( One of the good thing is that there is a large variety of unit avalble. You can also research upgrades to your units weapons, armor, etc. But overall this ends up to be a very fun game and very entertaining. If you enjoy watching shows like history channel in makes you want to play more because you want to try to reenact the battles, like me. =) But I still recommend this game its just good fun. =) :[)........I love my mustache.
