Making jobs fun.
Final Fantasy V is not my favorite Final Fantasy game, but it certainly is in the running. While it lacks the wonderful, in-depth story and character development of it's successor, it more than makes up for it with arguably the best gameplay in the franchise. Sure, the final villain is possibly the series lamest, but who cares? Building up your abilities via the then-revolutionary take on the job system is an absolute blast.

The only other negatives are the fact that some of the jobs are borderline completely useless. Either way though, the game is well-worth the price of admission. Highly recommended!

Got bored of this game
I got this game from my brother as a gift. I constantly thought this game would be really good. I enjoyed this for a while. The jobs include many things that other Final Fantasy had. I pretty much like anything else except for the fun. The first part of the game was pretty good. I am currently bored of this game and I probably won't like it for a while. I am a Final fantasy fan and I didn't like this game. Which was very suprising to me. I was disappointed. While this game is better than playing nothing. I still play this game if I have to.

FFV on GBA!!! SWEEEET!
I loved this game because of the fact that you can easily gain levels as high as 30 in between the beginning and the middle of the game (99 is the limit). I also have FF Anthology and I can notice some differences with these two ports. First of all, Reina's name was changed to Lenna (Reina is FF Anthology's name for the pink haired girl and Lenna is the GBA's name for the pink haired girl), They use pictures of the characters when ever one of the main characters are talking, some of the names of the classes are changed like trainer (FFA's name) to beastmaster (GBA's name), loading times for battles are non-existent (good!) because FFA takes 1-2 seconds to load and same thing with opening up the menu for your character status, X-death's name has an E in front of it so it's EX-Death and some of the spells are renamed too (names are similar to FF8!) so if you are looking for Fire 2 it's called Fira. Despite the differences, I find it good that they have a handheld version of this game so when I go on vacation, I can take it with me (along with my other 2 FF games and some other great SNES-to-GBA RPGs) If you don't have FF Anthology, you don't really need to worry because this game is just as good as the PSone port (dispite the graphical changes).

Best of the 2D Final Fantasies
Great game. No other game in the Final Fantasy series gives you so much freedom to develop your characters. Through the job system, you can design each of the characters however you like, and modify on-the-fly. Every game will play a little differently, depending on what jobs you combine. If you like games like Final Fantasy Tactics for the customization, but hate strategy and would rather have a full RPG, look no further.

Square once again strikes GBA gold
Over the past couple years, Square has been releasing ports of their beloved older Final Fantasy games to the GBA, with results ranging from great to excellent. Final Fantasy V Advance is no different, once again offering superb and classic RPG action that does the GBA proud. If you remember the Final Fantasy Anthology that was released for the PS1 years back, you'll remember this game, and when playing it on the GBA, you'll notice a few slight differences, most notably in the game's story and dialogue. The graphics look like you would expect a 16-bit Final Fantasy game to look like, with fluid animations and environments to boot. The lengthy quest is quite challenging as well, offering up a great amount of replay value which help you get your money's worth with this game. If there's any downsides to Final Fantasy V Advance, it's the typical kind you'd expect from the older games in the series: the horde of random battles that you'll across will grate on your nerves, and newer RPG players probably won't dig the dated presentation. Not to mention that for a Final Fantasy game, the game's story doesn't grab you and make you want to keep playing just to find out what happens next. Despite all that, Final Fantasy V Advance is another wonderful port of the classic series to Nintendo's undying handheld system, and the better news is that the best game in the series, Final Fantasy VI, is on the way to the GBA too.
