Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard (PK02AU) Review (continued)

Date: 2008-12-27 Decent; better multifunction buttons = better So, this keyboard is great, but ideally the volume keys would be larger and not so readily confused with other nearby keys. Also, it would be absolutely great if the brightness knob would also function as a volume knob! Nice, quiet keystroke action, beautiful lit keys and a sleek robotic look are appropriate and appreciated. The weight of the keyboard is almost enough, but a tad more weight would aid in keeping it put in one location, especially on a messy desk!
Date: 2008-12-26 Very solidly-built I bought this keyboard for the LED backlit keys, which are extremely useful in the dim room where I work. When I ordered it, I didn't have high hopes for the build quality, and figured it would be just average. I'm glad to say I was wrong. This is the most solidly-built keyboard I've used in a very long time. The unit itself is nice and heavy, and doesn't slide around like my other keyboards. The keys have a solid, but quiet/muffled feel, with good travel. Much better than the Dell and Microsoft keyboards I'm used to.
Of course, the key layout is nice and standard, with the backslash, insert, delete, home, end, pgup, and pgdn keys in the right spots. Also, the letters are not cheaply printed onto the keys, so there shouldn't be problems with letters wearing off. This is a programmer's/typist's keyboard!
Great job, Saitek!
Date: 2008-12-24 I love this keyboard! I love this keyboard - it has a nice feel to it - it's solid yet responsive - and the lighted keyboard helps me to find keys when I'm computing in a darkened room. The colors are beautiful - the blue, red, and violet are lovely and calming colors. This one is a keeper :)
Date: 2008-12-12 OK until keys stick It was fine until after about 6 months of use several keys started sticking... Annoying!
Date: 2008-12-09 Beautiful Keyboard This is an amazing keyboard. An excellent look and quiet keys. Some reviewers said keys wore off and I have had this product for about a month with heavy use (I work from home so it sees 10 - 14 hours of use per day, plus gaming) and I have had no issues. Even if a couple keys wear off I will still love this keyboard. The red glow is perfect for playing games in a dark room, it is not distracting at all. If you are looking for an impressively working and looking keyboard look no further.
