Fun to play, great improvment for peoplay who tried wild zoo on zoo tycoon 1
In the previous game, i attempted to make a wild zoo. I Created a savanna landscape and added a river, and then popped in some lions and wildebeest. Then i sat back to watch the game. Unfortunately, when the lions attacked the other animals, they simply vanished, so they couldn't feed themselves. I got zoo tycoon 2 and it was a little hard at first but i soon learned all of the new tools. I was astounded with the fact that everything was 3D and that you could get up close. I bought this zookeeper collection and its great, new animals, new food carts, and wild animals work better. The only drawback to it is groups tend to wander off from each other after a few minutes and prey animals wont run away from predators unless they are being hunted at that moment. And after the chase has gone on for a minute or two, the preditor will slash in the air when its about five inches away from it on the screen. Because of those flaws, i rate the fun level 4 and a half stars and overall 3 stars.

Fun game, gets old kinda fast
The game is initially very fun. Like most other games it kind of loses its flame after awhile. There are only so many scenarios you can put with a zookeeper game and only so many zoos you can build without getting bored with it. But it is fun for awhile and it thus is all I expect from a game. Haven't found one yet that can entertain for years and years after I've done everything in the game. The added bonus packs add a lot of animals and that is fun. It's a pretty easy game to get the hang of. Probably a great game for a youngster who is really interested in animals but able to keep up with a strategy game. I'd recommend it.

Gift for my 10 y.o. son
I bought this for my son and he has absolutely loved it. His friend has Zoo Tycoon 2 also but it doesn't have the expansion packs on it like this one does, and his friend paid more. I am a very pleased parent and am so happy to see games that really bring out our children's creativeness and imagination. Much better than just sitting at the Playstation all day. Zoo Tycoon 2 Zookeeper collection is a really great game. Some of the animals you can chose from are giraffes, rhinos, wolves, wild dogs, pandas, komodo dragons, crocodiles, horses, gazelles, zebras and wild cats like lions. In the game you can put soda, burger and other food stands. You can also have gift shops and playground equipment like slides and jungle gyms. There are also jeep vehicle stations that your guest and you can ride in! Your guest can get upset if it smells or an animal is upset so you need to keep your guest happy. Your zoo can get up to five stars. There are three modes. In one mode you have to use money and you have to earn the animals in your zoo by getting stars and earthquakes can hit your zoo. In the other mode you have all the animals and don't need to use money or have earthquakes. The other mode has tutorials and scenarios. I love the Zoo Tycoon 2 series and have Marine Mania and Extinct Animals expansion packs.
