Date: 2008-02-14 Is What i was looking for It arrived on time, in the conditions promised, so i guess i have to say that it meets my expectations.
Date: 2008-02-13 Awesome Multiplayer I had downloaded the demo for this and after playing it, I knew it was a must buy. I have never played any of the "other" unreal tournament games, but I have been a big fan of the Doom and Halo series, especially their multiplayer. The graphics are jaw dropping and the sound is very good too.
I have a pretty decent PC: 2.4ghz Intel Dual Core, 2 gigs of RAM, 512 nVidia GeForce 8600 GT. I can play the game on all high settings with little to no noticible lag.
(Note: I have only played the multiplayer with this game, I have not played the single player mode.)
If you want fun that can last for hours, this game delivers. Tons of different gameplay types, addictive gameplay, and beautiful graphics await you.
Date: 2008-02-09 great game The clear plastic around the outside of the game box which holds the game cover is a bit wrinkly. The game itself is awesome. If you have your "my documents" folder set to a different partition other than C:\ you are going to have some problems getting the game to remember your CD key as well as your online settings. Previous versions of UT have stored that kind of information in the Program Files folder (or wherever you chose to install it). Be sure you get the version 1.1 patch, it makes it so you dont need to have the disc in the drive to play the game.
Online voice chat can be activated with the default key B. It's usually a bit laggy, but what are you gonna do ? heh.
Date: 2008-02-09 Unreal is unreal! As with all except one of the earlier releases of this game, it is just unbelievable. Just make sure your hardware is current. You really should have a Duo Core and a video card no older than 6 months to really appreciate. It will work with less just as it says, but the video is a little fuzzy then. Other than than that, its worth every cent, and every hour of play!
Date: 2008-02-08 Extreme!! This game is fantastic! Graphics are amazing and gameplay is great! There is actually a developed storyline in this game unlike the previous unreal tournament games.
My only complaints about this game is that when you're fighting along side with an AI character and they say something over the radio, they don't open their mouths and speak.
But overall, amazing game! Plays great on PC, even better if your PC has a PhysX card! You get realistic ragdolls, loinclothes over armor moves realisticly as character moves, same with realistic movement of the flags in capture the flag (flag waves back and forth as the player runs carrying the flag with him/her)
Also, Ageia released special physics mods for UT3 players with PhysX cards. Mods include special levels with destructable environments (need a door? Shoot the wall and walk through!) and friggin tornadoes!!!
Overall, great game! Amazingly fun, especially on multiplayer with your friends!
