G11 Keyboard (4/5)
I finally updated from an old Microsoft keyboard and have been mostly pleased with the G11. There are three small problems which earned it 4 out of 5 stars.

1. The programmable keys take up a lot of space on the left side, which is fine if you have a full desk with plenty of real estate.

2. The strength of the backlight needs another upping on brightness.

3. The size of the letters/numbers/symbols. The normal lettering isn't quite centered and the symbols in particular are too small.

Perfect keyboard
I was looking for a new keyboard to replace my wireless one since I was getting tired of lost connections and changing batteries (I know not everyone has these problems are cares about this, but wired is my personal preference).

This keyboard is great. I have yet to find a game that I really need to use the extra 18 keys off to the left of the keyboard, but it can never hurt to have extra. The only thing I will warn about is that it took me a little bit to get used to typing. The keys are just a tiny bit closer together, and I use the Escape button often so I just automatically reached for the top left of the keyboard and hit G1 instead of Escape. Not a big deal since it did not do anything though.

My favorite feature is the backlite keys. I can now easily type in the dark without a problem. There is also a toggle to turn the lights off or have them dim.

Hard to set up
The keyboard is great, but I'm having a hard time setting up shortcuts etc. When I reboot it seems I loose my settings and have to go through the whole process again.

one step forward for two steps back
I purchased this because I wanted to have something that could help me write and use the keyboard successfully at night without light on and keeping others awake. I am a hunt and peck not a real typer anymore. The trade off for visibility at night and day time is a trade off. You give up your ability to see the keys in regular light by two thirds to gain sight in dark by 1/2. granted it works well, though I Have not tried all features yet. Its size isn't all that much bigger than some other modern keyboards I have used. I have already hit the caps lock a few times while hitting "a" though.

The very least they could have done was made and outline in white paint of the letter around the clear part then you could see the letter better. For typers this should present no problem but again if real typers feel the keys why do they need it lit up anyway? I will try it for a while but may return it. Right now I have to have the backlight on all the time and that is not what I wanted when I bought this. Right now I have a headache from using it in regular light.

G11 Issues
I purchased this keyboard for work, not gaming. I needed the programmable keys for more than just launching programs. There are not too many programmable keyboard available on the market, so I went with this gaming one. The keyboard feet are not long enough to give a good slope to it and I had an issue when installing it. I previously had a MS keyboard that required Intellitype software. After I removed that old software, then the multimedia keys would function. Other than these two issues, I like the keyboard.
