Pretty good overall, but needs a little tweaking
I have really enjoyed the game so far. Unlike some poeple, I realize and accept that a computer game version of a tv game show will never be as good as or just like the original. I have learned over the years to enjoy the computer versions for what they are and not ruin it for myself by trying to compare it too much to the original. I haven't ever experienced the problems the other reviewers have with the installation and running of these games. It does require a video card with at least 64 meg of onboard memory and works best with at least 512 megs of ram. Also I would recommend using a desktop rather than a laptop unless you have a laptop specifically designed for gaming as most laptops are not designed to run games that require high amounts of ram or video memory and you cannot update a laptop's video card or video memory to my knowledge. Now, on to the game. First off the good points. The game gives you the option of creating a family and has a tool for editing the faces, skin tone, hair color, facial hair for the men, and clothing, and accessories of each family member. The clothing options are limited and somewhat dated in my opinion. However you can unlock more accessories and even recreations of the studio sets of 5 different renditions of the Family Feud through the years by winning certain amounts of money or accomplishing various goals, such as winning all the questions or shutting our your opponent. There are also several modes you can play the game in, including single player, multiplayer, online game, and a quick version which is basically you answering the questions with out the formal structure of the original game. The graphics are actually very good for a computer game recreation of a game show in my opinion and gameplay is very smooth and it's just like being on the game show for the most part. Todd Newton(Former cohost of E! Channel's "Wild On" show and host of the "Whammy" and "Hollywood Bowl" gameshows) provides the voice over for the emcee. Not Richard Dawson, but he does a decent job I thought. Unfortunately, I do have a one or two gripes which are just minor things in my opinion and don't necessarily take away from the game experience. The main thing is that apparently the game's creators didn't incorporate many synonoyms for words or a thesaurus because for the most part on the questions your answer needs to be pretty precisely matched with the game's answers or it won't be accepted. For example I had a question, "Name something a bride has to buy for a wedding" My obvious first answer was "Wedding Gown", but because I didn't use the word "dress" rather than "gown", it wasn't accepted. Also the clothing for the characters as I mentioned before is very limited and I don't believe, though I don't know for sure, that any of the unlockables are clothing. Overall it's a pretty good re-creation of the family feud and one that families will enjoy for a while to come.

DOESN'T WORK
I HAVE XP WINDOWS AND HAVE HAVE USED OTHER AUTORUN COMPUTER GAMES. I WAS EAGER TO PLAY ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMESHOW GAMES. IT INSTALLS BUT KEEPS DEFAULTING. IT WILL SIT IN MY COMPUTER DESK DRAWER FOREVER, BECAUSE OF AMAZONS RETURN POLICY OF OPENED GAMES.

Family Feud
Two different games were sent to me, but neither worked. I was awarded a full refund.

Not much fun
I played Family Feud on-line and thought this would be like it. It is not. Takes too long to play because you have to sit through all the "fake" players scratching their heads, clapping, groaning, stuff like that. I just want to play the game! I'm disappointed.

Horrible game
I have always been a fan of Family Feud and was so excited that it came out on video game. I bought it for the Game Boy Advance. The game was such a disappointment. It is very slow, the monologue of the "host" is very long winded, and keeps repeating. The game claims to have over 1000 survey questions, but I played it on all levels of difficulty and several questions were repeated several times. Also many of the answers given by the opposing family (the computer) are very silly and the game doesn't allow any leeway. Example of one question, "Name something that beeps". I said fire alarm, I got a strike, the correct answer was smoke alarm. Do not waste your money
