If you liked Zelda, you'll like this game!
First of all, I expected Monster House Gameboy Advance game to be in 3D platform. (like Super Mario bros or any other game where you control the player in a side view.) But this game is viewed from the top looking down at the players' heads (almost) going through the house like a map. I hated it. It reminds me of Zelda (of the old classic game) where you view a room at a time and try to remember where you are at when you leave the room and explore as you go.

If you do not have a sense of direction, this isn't for you. I prefer the ones like Super Mario Bros. or Kirby, where you either go left or right and the game scrolls as you go, you view everything from the side. This is NOT a scrolling game. (if I'm explaining it correctly)

I gave it a fair try. I went into the house and explored around the room, I'm supposed to find objects around the house. I gave it 2 stars for the game overall due to the graphics and colors, they were pretty good. But I got lost easily and got tired of exploring the room after 2 rooms. This is like a mystery game where you need to find objects around the room and there is plenty of talking between the kids in between. My 2 nephews, 7 & 8 years old tried out this game and they gave up within 20 minutes. Said they didn't care for it.

This is merely my opinion. I loved Super Mario Bros., Kirby, Yoshi's Island and it's similar games. This isn't like them at all. This game is great for those who like mysteries, exploring, top-viewing of the game, and maps.
