Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Review (continued)
More User Submitted Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Reviews
Date: 2008-01-06 Star Wars movies in a silly, laid back, fun game. Thumbs up. My wife and I play this in the two-player mode. We enjoy it because it is very amusing and because it is rarely frustrating.
The fun factor is there, but not because it is "a great game" per se. It is fun because it is NOT intense and NOT extremely challenging. It is a laid back game experience. For example, if you get "killed", you re-appear in a few seconds and continue. You never have to re-play levels from the start. You go through a shoot-em-up level and then chuckle through humorous story-advancing clips that mimic the movies. The characters don't talk, but their body language can be hysterical.
This game is a lot of silly fun.
Date: 2008-01-03 great game Lego Star Wars II Original Trilogy is very different from the video games I remember from my childhood. I really enjoy the combination of action and the "puzzles" that you have to figure out to pass through the different levels. There is also a lot of humor built into the game, which just adds to the entertainment value. I play the game with my husband who says "i would play it until my eyeball exploded if I could". I think this is a great game for star wars loving adults and kids alike.
Date: 2007-12-29 Awsome Game Have to agree with Lisa Shea. This is such a great game. The humor is great and nice to have a game I can play with my young daughter in the room. She loves Legos and lovbes watching the Legos go Boom! This and the original are both great.
Date: 2007-12-28 Ridiculously silly fun, been playing it for hours with my 6 year old I really can't remember the last time I've played a game where I was constantly chuckling and just having an absolutely amazingly good time.
The game is hysterical fun, is full of little inside jokes for anyone who knows the movies well, and as implied by my title is pretty playable for the young ones... plus, if the worst violence consists of some silly lego man exploding into lots of lego pieces... well, heck... I used to do that with my legos all the time. :)
The puzzles are also reasonably challenging. I don't think most young kids would be able to work their way through all of them on their own, but definitely playing side by side with an older person it works great. My daughter and I have been having a blast. There's a nice element too, that you can't REALLY die... every time you lose a life, you just lose more "studs" (money). So the worst thing that happens is you get no money from the level, but still have a ton of fun. No biggie.
You really cannot go wrong getting this game.
Date: 2007-12-07 Great Game This is a great game for young and old alike, though for the hardcore gamer it may just be a fun distraction. The gameplay is your basic platformer with some decent puzzle elements. The game also incorporates some excellent humor; especially in the cut-scenes. Very good game for just about anybody; I highly recommend it.
