I love this game
Dead Rising is a sandbox-adventure-horror. One of the things that you will notice right off is the amount of things you can use to fight off the undead baddies. The story is great. I would not recommend this title for "the young ones," It can get a little graphic. There is a multitude of bosses to choose from, you can fight almost whoever you choose. After you beat the game (which will take some time) You unlock overtime mode. Its replay value is very high. If you don't want to take it from me just look up the demo on Xbox Live.

The dead
ok i was reading the reviews of why this game is poorly made.

this game is about a year old, and still fun. the whole game is about this guy named Frank West. and he is also a reporter. He's in a helicopter and sees a mob in the city. eventually he decides to go inside a mall. once he lands on the rooftop, he tells the pilot to come back for 3 days. thats when the nightmare begins.

-learn several moves to kill zombies
-save survivors
-discover the truth
-RE4 fans will love this
-kill phycopaths
-and KILL ZOMBIES

BLOOD AND GORE GALORE! 9.25 OUT OF 10
Dead Rising is a refreshing substitute until Resident Evil 5 comes out. It is a zany action survival-horror game with the ability to pick up any weapon and bash, shoot, stab, slice, or chop zombies or the endless crazy people who reside in the mall. It's not a scary game by any means, it's just a hilarious game of blood, guts, and dismemberment. The zombies at times have the same looks as others but that's never really bothersome, there are some targeting issues as well, along with save problems. This is a stellar title that should not be missed because of how fun it is to kill zombies and take pictures of gruesome scenes like the chick who falls off a building in the beginning. Seriously, go buy this game right now unless you're squeamish.

This game is great!
I wanted this game for a long time, I mean seriously, killing zombies in a mall with any weapon in the mall? Now that's just awesome!!! I bought it and loved it, I got hooked in a matter of minutes and it was a lot of fun, even though a very hard game. It is worth the money!

Don't buy this game
While the game is playable the story of the game is completely impossible to follow if you do not have a HDTV. The text is small and blurry on my big Sony WEGA TV. Unfortunately if you are doing a quest you have to read screen after screen of this. I had to return the game. Looks like fun on a HDTV.
