Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit Review (continued)

Date: 2008-01-12 Not satisfied Unfortunately, the quick charge kit I purchased does not work (defective). This is the only drawback to on-line purchases! It saves time at first, but if there is a problem, it becomes more of a problem!! I was advised to contact microsoft, which I did. The day I called I was at work and it was taking a VERY long time to try and resolve my situation with the Microsoft rep. I simply just wanted to return the defective item to be replaced by microsoft at no charge. I have not had the time to call back, but plan to still try and have microsoft replace.
Date: 2008-01-10 I'll Keep This Short and Sweet As the title says, I won't waste your time with a verbose review.
The quick charger kit is worth every penny and does exactly what it claims to do. It charges the rechargeable batteries in 2 (for one battery) to 4 (for 2 batteries) hours which is a helluva lot faster than the play and charge kit.
All in all, this is a "must have" item for even the most entry level gamer.
Date: 2008-01-04 An Essential Accessory for any Xbox 360 Owner One of the Xbox 360's biggest strengths is its wireless controllers. However, the necessary downside is the batteries that they consume. Fortunately, there are rechargeable NiMH available for the controllers. But how best to charge them so that you're never out of juice?
Microsoft offers two options: a plug-n-play wired solution and this Quick Charge Unit. The speed, convenience and ease of this Quick Charge Unit make it the hands-down better way to go.
The Quick Charge Unit will power up a fully-drained battery in about two hours; contrast this to the 10+ that it takes the plug-n-play setup to accomplish the same thing.
Also, the Quick Charge Unit is totally independent from your Xbox 360, as opposed to the plug-n-play which is physically wired to your 360 and requires that the 360 be on during recharging (yes, I know that you don't have to be actually playing to charge via the plug-n-play, but it IS keeping your 360 powered up, and thus wearing your expensive console down - is that really worth it to save some money on batteries?).
The Quick Charge Unit is small - barely taller than the 360 itself, so you could very likely fit it in your entertainment shelves. But you're free to keep it wherever you like - mine happens to sit in a bookshelf in a separate room from my 360. When a battery runs low, I just swap it out for a fresh one. You can leave the batteries on the unit even after they're fully charged; a red/green LED alerts you to the status of each battery in the charger.
This package does come with one rechargeable NiMH battery, although the Quick Charge Unit has space to accommodate two at a time.
This great accessory will immediately save you money on batteries and also preserve the life of your Xbox 360 console by not relegating it to the role of overly-expensive charger. Highly recommended.
Date: 2007-12-30 Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit Bought this for my husband for Christmass, the charger works great! Does everything it is advertised to do. Very satisfied with this product.
Date: 2007-12-29 Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit Ok let me get one thing straight this kit is well worth $30.00 and saves me money on batteries. This Product works great and charges your rechargeiable batteries in half the time of the play n charge kit. This kit even comes with a spare rechargeiable battery that you can use. It is simple to use just slap your battery packs on after your done gameing and it will have them both fully charged in about 2 hours and gives you about 25 hours of play per charge. And it is realy handy when a big game launches. Me and my friends used it on Halo 3 launch day it provided us with enouigh charge to game all night long. Sorry about the spelling.
