Date: 2007-11-06 great, but what a hassle with Vista I have always been a Simphile and had to upgrade this when I bought a new computer. But running this with Vista is a pain! Here are some tips if you do: open through start menu, select sims, choose size and right click and run as Administrator. And save often....it still likes to crash.
Date: 2007-10-20 couldn't wait I'm 9 and I LOVE the game! It was difficult at first. In Magic Town there are fun duels, but if your guy is angry he/she won't do the duel. Also, you can build your own house. When you put wallpaper on, click on the wall and hit the shift button and unclick. BYE!!
Date: 2007-10-17 The Sims Deluxe Edition This game is so much fun! It's brought out the control freak in me. I get to design and purchase the house furnishings and guide my SIMs to a hopefully lucrative career/and or successful relationships. Be careful, though: Playing this game can become an obsession. :)
Date: 2007-10-14 My teenagers love "The Sims" My daughters have been bugging me to buy them "The Sims" for quite some time because many of their friends have it. I was concerned that they would play the game to the exclusion of seeing friends and doing non-computer activities. I found that they invite their friends over to play the game. It has been very interactive for them and did not make "computer zombies" of them. Plus, they want to use the internet less!
Date: 2007-09-18 Everything or nothing.. What you need to understand when purchasing this item is that all of the expansion packs get installed at once. Not only does this take time, but you end up with a very confusing game, with none of the elegance and ease of play that made the base game so much fun.
Some of the packs are fun, but all of them, together, with no way to turn them off? Bad idea.
