Hunting Unlimited IV Review
User Submitted Hunting Unlimited IV Reviews Date: 2008-01-18 hunting unlimitrd 4 I have the complete set. Number 3 is the best. I bought number 4 hoping that it would be as good. I was surprised of the poor quality. The game is too easy, for instance, in taking a elephant, a shot to the head was all it took. In no.3, there was only a certain area of the head that was the target. I had fun playing the game but was disapoined with the challenge. I give it a an average score , hoping for improvement, if there is a no.5.
Date: 2007-08-23 Grahics not great, overall pretty decent game I bought this game for my son, who's eight, and he and my ten year-old like it quite a bit. I don't feel the graphics are as good as our Cabela's games (Big Game Hunter 2006, and 10th Anniversary Edition), but they have enjoyed the Zoo Hunt feature. Overall I would recommend it, just don't expect too much.
Date: 2007-03-24 Too Slow this game needs to move along, give the player a lot more shots per minute. I am patient, but not that patient
Date: 2007-01-11 hunting un limited 4 the game has some improvements but not many!! it's about the same as unlimited 3 but just a little harder and i think less animals !!! wayne of PA
Date: 2006-11-26 Lacks the quality, and pollish of Hunting Unlimited 3. Sadly, HU4 seems unfinished, when compared to HU3's rich offering.
The landscapes have a very generic, patchy look to them. The draw-in on the grass is extremely short, even on the highest settings. The colors are too bright, giving the environments an artificial, 'cartoony' look. The 'bullet cam' bullet lacks textures, it's totally white now. The 3rd person mode is missing. Gone are the enjoyable mini games. In fact, most of what made HU3 such an outstanding experience, is either gone, or not working properly in this edition.
A number of bugs even keep the tournaments from working properly.
In pains me to see the current state of this series, especially when considering what a masterpiece the previous game was. The positive side, I suppose, is that Hunting Unlimited 3 still stands above all other hunting titles, as the finest in the genre. The only thing it lacks, is multiplayer.
HU3 was brilliant. HU4 is more on par with lower quality indi efforts.
