I'm out $20, and have a really pissed off kid...
We have Stars Wars II and I figured it works on my computer, so Star Wars must too. WRONG! In fact, it doesn't work with any Intel graphics card because of some pixel shader 1.1 thing. My kids were so disappointed. They spent their own money on this game, and there's no returning opened software. The tech support people at this company don't EVER answer the phone and NEVER return your call. I should have read the reviews first.

The Prequels at their best!
Not only does this game give you the fun action of Legos and Star Wars, but its humor rises above the original story and makes it so fun. With the companion play and swinging lightsabers you have hours of fun. The only thing on the con side of the game is that Lego StarWars 2 is even better!

Fun for old farts
This game probably is NOT for teens who need photorealistic disemboweling with triple-dithered blood splatterations to consider a game worth playing. I am a thirtysomething who USED to be into the latest games when I was a kid, when I had more time and fewer responsibilities. That was long time ago though. I tried playing Halo awhile back and realized I wasn't willing to put in the time or effort to get any good at such a (comparatively) complex game. Nothing against Halo, I'm sure it's great, just not for me.

This game was quick to learn, easy to play, and lots of fun. Just a quick time-waster while I'm waiting for files to download or when work just gets a little too boring and I need a break. That's it, that's all I can deal with in a video game these days. Plus, given my age, I'm hugely nostalgic for both legos and star wars, both played a prominent role in my childhood. Why only 4 stars? It was a little too short.

Oh, and for all the people who are complaining about system requirements, all you are doing is broadcasting the fact that you are complete idiots who can't be bothered to read the side of the F****** BOX before you buy. Amazing that you have enough of a handle on the internet to leave bitter, ignorant reviews here, but yet you are unable to research system requirements or the specs of your graphics card. I guess you'd just rather complain than learn. Good luck with that!

Great for playing along with your kids
My 6-year old son and I love playing Lego Star Wars together. It's a wildly creative and fun game that encourages cooperation; you'll need to work together to solve fun in-game puzzles. He enjoys it so much the Lego Star Wars universe has become his favorite conversation topic ("daddy: I have a question -- what's your favorite way to defeat the Darth Maul?").

The animation is great, the storyline is fun (of course, based mostly -- but not exclusively -- on the movies), and both the in-play and cut scene humor is delicious.

I would have given the game 5 stars, but it had some stability issues on my PC: switching between it and other applications would crash it, and sometimes it would just lose my controller settings.

But all in all: highly recommended. The sequel is even more fun. Too bad there aren't more movies so they can make more Lego Star Wars games!
