addictive, challenging, great time-waster!
this little cd offers hours and hours of fun. true, it is not as beautiful on the screen as sierra mini-golf which is a long-time favorite, but this cd has so many courses and various skill levels that the challenge escalates from bronze, silver, gold, bonus, and special. each level unlocks only after you whip the lower level. i don't like to give in to a silly computer game, so i have played for hours each day trying to unlock the bonus tables. i'll get there yet!

i was frustrated as was previous reviewer by the seeming inability to control the power bar -- but it's as simple as a rapid-fire double click for a teeny soft putt, a slightly slower double click to go a few "feet" further, and so on. of course getting up/down the hills requires more or less power, and getting out of the dips without going out of bounds is a challenge. on some hills, you get the pleasure of really whomping it...and if you get really frustrated, why not go out of bounds with real gusto.

hint, start in amateur mode because the "pro" mode seems uncontrollable, at least to me. i played a few holes in pro mode, but the ball seemed to have a mind of its own, so back to amateur mode where the ball behaved pretty much the way you hit it.

this is a course design with way more challenges than immediately apparent, so you probably won't get bored too quickly. the holes, don't resemble classic 50's mini-golf courses, but they are challenging. obstacles, tabletops, hills, dips, water which could actually make you seasick!, and certain wormholes which take you somewhere, although not always where you want to go.

last hint, brighten up your screen, or tilt your monitor/laptop screen to a lighter view than you probably normally use. i didn't realize how hard it was to discern the variances in elevation until i did that -- then i could start making par (or close to it).

hope you enjoy playing!

Mini Golf Master
There was no way that I could find to control the speed of the golf stroke. Every putt had maximum speed and the ball careened off the course every time. Very frustrating.

This game is really fun!
This game is really fun for any time. When you start out you only have 1 hole to do and as you get better you gain more holes and then you complete a trophy! On the last trophy (Special)you have either random or hardest. The game rates you and how well you do and when you do hardest it does a selection of the holes you were not very good at.There is only one glitch I know of and it is occasionally on Random,Hardest, and Medevil. It is impossible to win at.All in all this is a good game.
