Don't listen to those stupid RCT3 haters!
I bought this and SOAKED! and still enjoy it. Plus, the stupid 1-star people critisize the game (And say "Don't buy!") for idiotic and stupid reasons!

Beware of Your Computer's Video Card
I'd love to review this product but we haven't been able to play it. Evidently, although we have Windows XP we do not have a video card that will enable the product to work. Of course, I thought that if the product says it can be run on Windows XP that was all I had to worry about. I'm not a techie and I didn't know anything about video cards. Now I know and I'm $20 in the hole until I spend at least $50 upgrading my video card. Beware!
Update: Amazon refunded all of my money for this product when I returned it and explained about the video card problem.

So-So....
I found this game very interesting when I read the box, but don't always trust the box! First of all, the 3-D graphics are good, but I could definitly live without them. I'm getting tired of all these games turning to 3-D graphics, as if thats the only way to make games these days (e.g. Caesar IV, Zoo Tycoon 2, RCT3, etc.). I did enjoy riding the rides, especially the coasters you make, and I like it that the developers added more detail, but I think they went a little crazy on the detail. For example, you have to chose the amount of pickles on the hamburgers and your staff get lazy and they either quit, you disipline them(which makes them sad), or train them which gets expensive. And one BIG WARNING: the requirements for RCT3 on the box and what you read on the internet are the MINIMUM requirements! MINIMUM!! Which means that if your computer barely meets the requirements, RCT3 will run unbelievably slow!! Trust me, RCT3 is a big investment, because you need a lot of RAM (I recommend at least 512 MB) and a good graphics card( ATI Radeon, GeForce) and those can get very expensive! So think wisely before you get this game!

Perfect Game for Everyone
This game is very entertaining! Not only can you ride roller coasters, but you can ride other rides too(dropping rides, spinning ones, etc.)! You get to build an amusement park and open stores, beverage booths, food booths, and of course bathrooms (duh!). There are so many choices of different roller coasters it's unbelievable. You can change the color of the tracks and coaster cars. Plus, you can add a lot of scenery to the park, and add themes to your rides! You can play in a sandbox mode, or the challenging career mode. I prefer the sandbox mode because you can do whatever you want with unlimited money. If you're just starting the game, go to the tutorial; its very helpful! Lots of tips and everything! To sum it all up, this is a fantastic game, with tons of twists!

Terrific game...
Here's the good and the bad of RCT3.

GOOD AND BAD:
G: Great graphics!
B: Gets a bit slow at times, but this usually passes quickly.

G: Awesome shops and stalls that put you in control.
B: Shops tend to break-down a lot.

G: Custom design your own peeps and put you and your friends into the action.
B: It's annoying when you want to take a picture of your whole group, but the group leader is excluded from the picture. (Note to those that have this problem. Create a "photographer" in your peep group that you don't want in the picture.)

G: Employees that you can train and manipulate to your liking (how cool is it to watch a tiger break dance?).
B: Full training is very helpful, but $350 for each employee gets expensive.

G: Great scenary that corresponds with every theme.
B: When do you stop?

G: Cool rides that are fun to watch and fun to ride.
B: Either too expensive, too calm or too thrilling. None of the rides are really in-between.

G: Try your hand at scenarios, sandbox, or make your own scenario and challenge your friends!
B: Gets frustrating because you have to customize EVERYTHING!!!

G: Create ponds and lakes (and waterfalls if you have the expansions).
B: Expensive and not very accurate. ("If I could just get that mountain a little higher...a little more flat...NOOOOO!!!")

G: Escort VIPeeps into your park and try to please them.
B: You try building a $13,300 roller coaster to please Cami O when you have 1,300 dollars!!! They're just too picky...

G: Create awesome fireworks shows that wow your audience!
B: Gets very tedious and VERY expensive.

Overall, I'd give this game a 9.3, only because the game can get a bit slow when you're building huge coasters and when you're playing curing the night. Fortunately, there's fast-forward mode, so you can get past tricky spots and earn money quickly. I'd say definetely buy this game!!! But, if you really want to experience the entirety of the game, buy the expansion packs, too. It really completes the experience.
