Warcraft III Battle Chest Review (continued)

Date: 2007-01-09 Best Strategy Game Since Starcraft It's so good. I've been playing this since 2003. It's seriously amazing.
Date: 2007-01-05 Well worth the $ I'd played the first two and enjoyed them a lot. This one has a TON of gameplay and I haven't even gotten to the expansion set yet. Its not especially challenging, as I've only "died" 3-4 times through ~40 missions. That may be more of a function of learning how the CPU opponents think than anything, though. Anyway, for the price, you really can't beat this deal--the number of gaming hours per dollar is exceptionally high and the story is fairly engaging.
Date: 2006-11-05 Warcraft 3- expansion I love this game, just wish I had more time to play it.
Date: 2006-11-05 Warcraft III Battle Chest This is a secondhand review since the game was purchased for my son. The graphics and story line are much better than previous versions of Warcraft. We have had problems with earlier versions being so dark they could only be played at night - that's not the case for Warcraft III. Unfortunately, when the protagonist, a good paladin, (possibly temporarily) turned evil, my son simply stopped playing. Bear this in mind when considering the game for younger kids. We then loaded the Frozen Throne disk and somehow it wiped out the earlier saved games. I was not present when this happened. While the save files were still on the disk, there appears to be some composite character based file that got reinitialized when loading Frozen Throne. Tech support, while responsive, was not helpful.
Date: 2006-11-03 Endless hours of fun! Highly addictive, you'll probably find yourself playing for hours without even being aware of time. Great game, and a future classic!
