Final Fantasy X Review (continued)

Date: 2008-03-08 Oh this is a GREAT level up system! THE BAHAMUT IT IS!!! Since when did you have to spend Sphere Levels to gain stat boosts across a map!? I don't even think Final Fantasy XII has this, and we all know how Star Wars-ish that game is(in a good way). Listen, this is a very good game, in fact the turn-based system harkens to Mega Man X: Command Mission if you look at the sidebar on the right side of the battle screen close enough, but it would've been another really good Final Fantasy title IF IT WASN'T FOR THE LEVEL UP MAP!!! And yes, I enjoy taking summons' names in vain to piss off fanboys. :3
Date: 2008-02-08 Final Fantasy X, a fun game I have enjoyed playing this game. I haven't played many games on the Playstation 2 because of work but this game is fun. The characters have such interesting personalities. The graphics are great. I recommend highly.
Date: 2008-01-07 Final Fantasy X This was the Final Fantasy game I have played. (I have played through XII) It has a balance of romance, action, and suspense that is needed to make a game. It is not bloody but still has dramatic death scenes. It is very kid friendly and also adults would love it too.
Date: 2007-12-29 Gets frustrating after the 20th hour, monotonous after the 60th I'm into my 3rd decade playing video games. I started with role playing games (in fact, I started with Final Fantasy - no number after that; I mean the original). I picked this up as I was getting tired of action games. Graphics are pretty nice, and the story line is decent. However, I find that once I hit the 80 hour mark, and still haven't finished, it's getting awfully stale. And you'll find three of the most inane, stupid, and poorly programmed mini-games ever created in this single title. The most annoying is the Chocobo races - how this horrible crud wormed its way into this title, I'll never know. It looks like it was programmed by junior college kids as a term project; it's completely unplayable, unenjoyable, and gets in the way of a mostly fine game. Stupid chocobos. Second place has to go to the just as silly, just as unplayable and unenjoyable capture the blue butterlies mini-game. And third place goes to dodging lightning bolts 200 times, consecutively. That's right, you mess up just ONCE, you start all over. If I had known I needed to complete these stupid mini-games to level up my characters, I would never have bothered this title and moved on to a sequel, or another RPG altogether. I swear, I've had more fun painting - it's certainly less painful.
I must say though, this game did succeed in one thing; it rekindled my interest in action games! So, if you like to be infuriated by a game for redundancy, idiotic mini-games, by all means buy this title.
Date: 2007-12-26 BORING What a waste of time. I absolutely hated how the game switches to a movie format ALL THE TIME with me having nothing to do but sit there and watch and if i want to watch a movie i will rent one. I finally just thought "I hate this".
