Sonic's back and better than ever!
This game must be 1,000 times better than the original Sonic Adventure. For one thing, Sega got rid of the two worst characters in SA, Amy and Big the Cat. My only real complaint is that Tails is now running around in this big heavy robot-thing that can't fly like Tails could without it. Oh well...

This time, Dr. Eggman/Robotnik is out to conquer the world along with the help of the mysterious ultimate life form, Shadow. Because Sonic looks so much (I personally don't think so) like Shadow, the military has unknowingly convicted Sonic for all of Shadow's crimes! This was an interesting twist on your regular boring video game plot.

The Chao, a virtual pet, is also back which is a nice break after you've beaten a level.

I seriously recomnend this game, but perhaps you should consider buying it for Gamecube, because the Sega ones are hard to find lately...

Best Game on Dreamcast!!
You wouldn't believe how much sonic 2 has improved over sonic 1. You get to play the dark characters! Not only can you save the world but you can also conquer it! I have always liked this game because you can be super sonic and his rival hyper shadow. There are 6 main characters and 3 minor ones. Sonic,Tails, and Knuckles are the goodguys. Shadow, Dr. Eggman, and Rouge are the evilguys. It's a fun-filled game. There are 180 emblems to get. I've had this game for 2 years and I have 161/180 emblems. Geting A's on every level (yes, EVERY LEVEL) you get the green hillzone level and you get the 3d green hill garden for chaos. Dark, hero, and neuteral choas are awsome. Special features include hero races and dark races. If you beat every mission for a specific character, you get a very cool costume for that character. This is definitely a 5* game!

You like Sonic Get the Game!!!!
I got this game and was really excited because I loved Sonic Adventure my first game since I was 6. It took me a while to get used to this one and it can be frustrating at times. I have not even finished the Hero part of the game yet! Now if you are a hard core gamer I think you would be able to handle this game. If not still get it you'll get far enough to at least enjoy it.

One of the best Sonic games of all time
With my purchase of my Dreamcast I also bought the game Sonic Adventure. I have to say Sonic Adventure 2 is a huge improvement over Sonic Adventure and doesn't have as many flaws.

Sonic is mistaken for an evil Hedgehog named Shadow who has been spreading danger across the world. The military and all police units are after Sonic and you need to escape Sonic from them and avoid them in many of the levels.

There are many fun modes you can play in: Story Mode, Kart Mode and Chao Raising Mode. Story mode is the main game. You can choose to play as the Hero's (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles) or the Dark villains (Shadow, Rouge and Dr. Robotnik).

Kart mode is just like Mario Kart games for the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. You unlock Kart racing after you complete the first 9 stages. You can play in one player or two player and race as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Rouge, or Dr. Robonik in 3 different courses.

Raising a Chao can be frustrating sometimes, but it is also fun. You teach your Chao to do new things while being nice to it, but trying not to spoil it. This mode gets old after a while though.

The levels in this game are amazing. Each level includes different missions that get more challenging as you get deeper in to the game. The graphics are very realistic and when the spins and jumps Sonic does look very smooth. The gameplay is a lot better than Sonic Adventure.

Sonic also has new abilities to grind on rails, and swing form vines and bars. And there is also a newer helper Chao named OmoChao who gives you hints in each level.

Sonic Adventure 2 is loaded with secrets to unlock. If you get All 'A' rankings in each of the levels many great secrets are unlocked. Also, getting all 180 emblems is very rewarding. There are many other secrets to unlock as well.

There are only two minor flaws in this game. The camera angles don't always show the direction you want to see and you can't play just as one character like you could in SA1.

Overall this is my favorite Sonic game ever and the best Dreamcast game that I have ever played. Sadly, it is the last Sonic game to be on a Sega console.
