The best race game ever....
If you love race car games then this is a must have. I've played several different ones but none like this. You get points for crashing into other cars. Even if you place first in a race, if you don't have enough points your NOT first. You also must watch your energy level as you race and crash into cars. At times this can be difficult. Overall I would give this game 5 stars.

Mission: Demolition
Demolition Racer rocked my socks. I bought it originally thinking it was from the creators of the Destruction Derby games, (A good series in its own right), but it is different. (Unlike the Demolition Derby titles, you only score crashes made with the front of your car.) Demolition Racer is more of an independent title with its own flavor and excitement.

There are MANY play modes to choose from, including 2 player modes. From standard arena-style destruction derbies to flat out racing. The main mode will score you on your final racing position and crash score. There is a fair bit of strategy to this mode, as you must crash often, place high, and manage to survive to the end. There are several fun and strange mini-games to unlock as well.

The unique game play is the best part of Demolition Racer, but there are some other big highlights. This game has polished graphics, a variety of customization options, plenty of levels, and a decent soundtrack comprised of heavy metal and electronica.

My only critiques would be on the soundtrack and the physics engine. Some of the music isn't on the par with the rest of the collection, and the music is always set on random for every race. So you might have to race with something annoying instead of an awesome Fear Factory remix. The physics...can unpredictably send your car to its doom too early.

Smash 'em up fun
Remember Destruction Derby? It was an unexpected hit and classic for the PS1 years ago where you got to smash up cars for no reason other than for good 'ol fun. Demolition Racer was a game that would come out a few years later for the PS1 with basically the same premise and was just as fun. Now enter Demolition Racer: No Exit for the Dreamcast, an insanely fun (for the most part) racer that was a nice addition to the DC's overbloated racing library. The premise stays the same, smash up other cars as much as you can while trying to keep your car from getting junked. You can either race or enter the Demolition League where you can participate in all kinds of other races like Chicken, Last Man Standing, and No Exit which has you and a bunch of other cars confined in a small arena where the last car functioning wins. Controls are tight and solid, the sound effects are half decent, along with a soundtrack featuring Fear Factory and some lesser known bands, but the graphics seem a little blocky, almost N64-ish, and don't take advantage of the DC's graphics horsepower engine. All in all, Demolition Racer: No Exit is a pretty good game that any DC owner will enjoy.

Awsome
This game is really cool because it is intense racing and if you like destruction this is it in the arena you can bash and smash all you want it is awsome.BUT BE WARNED THE ARENA'S ARE KIND OF HARD TO SEE ON PROJECTION TV.But if you are chillin with your friends at night turn off the lights and ROCK ON!!!!!

I loved it
When I got Demolition Racer for Christmas I didn't know if I would like it or not, but as I played it more and more I enjoyed it more and more. My 4 year old brother loved watching the cars crash and then special effects and the sound. In fact, I am buying it again because it was scratched.
