A classic
What can I tell ya? The original Nintendo. Back when games only had the A and B buttons. This system pioneered the way for the video game industry. Although it suffers from the flashing start up light syndrome.

NES vs. Yobo knockoffs
Why the guys on here despise the Yobo knockoff NES system is beyond me. You get a cheap, NEW, top loading nintendo system. You cannot buy a new NES period, so buying a used real NES, likely for more money if it is in good condition, you still take chances of the old problems those things had. Plan on blowing in the door and in the cartridges to try and get dust out and avoid the flashing screen. Nintendo is not making them anymore so it's not like they're losing money to the Yobo system. I have a yobo and while it feels cheap, it works great for the nostalgia of every once in a while old school gaming. You just don't need a real system unless you want it for a dust collector... er I mean collectible.

Unbelievable!
I was shocked to read that the younger kids don't appreciate the original NES (or have never played one!) At 24, you are making me feel old. Compared to today the graphics were horrible, but it was never about the graphics, it was about 2 of the most important ratings categories ever: gameplay and fun factor. The classic NES games were so much fun to play! I'd still rather play the original Zelda, Wizards & Warriors, Super Mario 3, etc over half of the garbage that is released for PS2 and XBox these days (especially XBox, which I made the mistake of buying, 90% of the games I wouldn't even play if someone paid me for it). And some of the best games out there today still stem from the old NES games (Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc). I just wish I hadn't sold mine to buy a SNES when I was about 10, but I still have that SNES, and it is probably, overall, the best console system ever created (the only remotely close rival would be the Playstation).
